Filing I-485 with Form I-765 and Form I-131

Hello, 

 

I am getting ready to send in my I - 485 (c9) change of status packet which is based on a K1 visa.  I am also sending in the I-765 and I-131 at the same time.  Are we required to do another "package" for the I-765  AND the I-131 ?  Example.. including more copies of the  I-94 and passport photos, etc ?  They are already in the packet ?

Yes, you need to include supporting documents for each application. So you will need 6 total passport photos, 2 for the I-485, 2 for the I-765, 2 for I-131, include a copy of the marriage certificate for each, a copy of the I-94 for each, copy of visa/passport for each, ect. 

 

They can all be mailed together in one envelope however.

OP, yes as RJandHamid said, you need to include the supporting documentation that each form requests. While you mail them all together in one package, they actually separate each form into their own file so you need to have the documentation that goes along for each one attached with it. You will get 3 different case numbers (one for each form) from USCIS as well because of this just fyi.

I am getting ready to send my I-485 Form and Supporting Documents Immediate Relative ( Spouse ) Family Based Adjustment of Status.

 

My questions is My husband want to apply an Concurrent Filing for me and my problem is i don't have an a list for Concurrent and also how arrange that through Cover list in case i decide to mail that on USCIS..

I hope you can sent me a list as early as you can.

Since original question was answered (and helped me too), I have a relevant question.  When you submit the (3) applications in one mail package, how do you guys separate them?  Binder clip each section together then large binder clip everything together?

 

Curious to hear how people organize and bind the documents they send in when it's all (3) applications like OP stated.

We sent bundled in one package with one check.  Each application was clipped together separately and with a separate cover letter on the top of each one.

Yes, I had used 3 strip files and put each of the forms and photocopies into each strip file...its easy and more organised and all three strip files went into one large envelope.

We used paperclips down the side to separate each sub category/paperwork and large paperclips at the top for each set of forms/support documentation then one big binder clip to hold it all together in the package for mailing. Had no problems with that.

 

NOTE: Just DO NOT use Staples for anything.

Hi,

I'm about to adjust status via K1 visa and now I'm getting ready to file form 485 together with 765 and 131. I noticed that it's free to file 765 together with form 485. How about form 131? Is it also no charge if i file 131 together with 485?

Also, in the form 131, am i right to choose the category of "reentry" under the circumstance that i am a temporary permanent resident?   

And do i need to wait until i get the receipt of form 485 then to file form 131?
