i don't know what country this is for but if u are high fraud, u r already looing at a hard interview

i made 5 trips at considerlbe expense as many others have done

the process requires compete honesty and a solid trelationship 

don;t short change it 

lying about a visit will set the embassy against u nd u may never get that visa

Nothing wrong in asking questions, but this is just not an ordinary question. This asking people if its OK to lie and i don't know what she is expecting?

Asking a question like this is providing yourself the answer already. Lying is never beneficial.

It's always "possible" to lie about anything.  Doing so usually has negative consequences.  Lying to a Consular Officer or on an immigration form, usually has very severe consequences.  

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

We had to show proof of our meetings and we lived in the same city for about 4 years before my husband moved abroad for 2 years.  Even airline tickets and passport stamps with the country weren't specific enough. I had to pull old credit card statements from both of us with time stamps, dates and zip codes matching to prove we have met multiple times.

 

If you get caught in a lie you will likely cause a bigger mess than telling the truth.

Either a troll or a seriously misguided person that thinks immigration rules don't apply to them and is looking for any means to bypass the system. I understand asking questions to clarify processes but I don't understand people who think that rules don't apply to them. Anyone who has ever dealt with immigration knows lying about anything, only makes things worse for that person and there are long term consequences for that. Just wow <_<

Is it crazy that in past 1 month, I have seen more people trying to cheat system, lie to system or find some secondary ways for being legal or immigrate to US? Why in the earth would you ever lie? To hide a lie, a thousand lies are needed

 

VO & CBP officer are not stupid cookies. They are the brightest cookies in the jar and have dealt with 1000 of interview personally and have studied 1000 of case even before they start their professional life. They are taught to do so.

 

They will catch your lie and your lie will come to bite you in your #######. Don't lie, be truthful and then in between your visa process and interview, spend plenty of time together and with family.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
