The process for K1 visas is that the petition is first sent to the CSC. Once it is approved there, the petition is forwarded to the NVC, where it is assigned a case number. Once it is given a case number, the NVC sends the petition to the embassy or consulate. The NVC stage for K1s is just a brief checkpoint, and the petitioner does not need to do anything in order for their case to move forward (no fees to pay or documents to submit at the stage unlike IR1/CR1).

July 10, 2017: Interview
July 14, 2017: Visa in hand
July 27, 2017: POE at ORD

October 2, 2017 : Biometrics Appointment

October 13, 2017 : RFIE letter received in mail (they want an English translated Birth Certificate, which we included in the original petition...)

January 24, 2018: EAD/AP Combo Card in hand

August 9, 2018: AOS Interview (Approved)

August 9, 2018: "Card in Production"

August 16, 2018: Green card in hand

 

 

May 2020: ROC!

We have almost the same exact dates as you and have been emailing about every other day and have heard nothing. Also, whoever said the USA citizen has to send the email is wrong. The beneficiary can send the email.

Take care of getting the medical exams and 2 police reports now / some of these take time

good luck to the 2 posts here

our K1 in 2009 was denied and we had to go thru marriage in moroc and CR1

but 2018 he gets to apply for citzenship so all is worth the work and time
