It is, I know we haven't been hit as hard as Puerto Rico and St Maarten, but another in less then a month. I think we will wait with reparations untill December.

We have had abnormally low hurricane activity in recent history the past 10 years. Does global warming cause them or not cause them

Yea, no kidding.  I got hammered at two locations, Big Pine Key and Naples.   Rode the storm out in Naples.  Two direct hits, but it looks like there is no target on my back this time.  Headed to the Keys this weekend to see what's left at my place.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your place is somehow not damaged. Do you have someone over there who has checked up the place already?

 

We have a huge leak/hole in our sealing at which I'm staring as we speak. Waiting for someone to do the repairing, but wonder now if we shouldn't wait until after Hurricane season.

Did OK in Naples.  Lost a LOT of trees (we are on 2 1/2 acres) and had some minor pool cage damage.  We were without power for 11 days but have a great generator.  After 6 days left for a pre planned vacation to Europe.

 

In the Keys I was able to find a NOAA site that showed aerial photos after Irma.  Still had an intact roof.  Found video taken from a Black Hawk helicopter.  Saw my house and the front and side seemed OK, but EVERYONE has some damage.  We will see...

Ok, that doesn't sound too bad at all...any damage is one to much but it could've been worse...like  getting your whole roof blown off like what happened to a friend last year with Mathew.

That's funny, we were in Europe during Irma and got stranded for more than a week, little bit more then we anticipated.

 

Nate is probably arriving this weekend, not sure yet whether we are on its path or not. I try not to watch to much news and just be prepared for anything that comes our way.

Why would climate change trigger anyone? Everyone knows climate change happens. You don't want to talk about hurricanes, tornados or even earthquakes with lefties though because they will become triggered into blaming it all on cow farts and SUVs.
