Questions regarding Registering to vote!

Hello, i have 3 simple questions regarding  "vote" , i appreciate your help:

1. Do i need to wait for certain time after ceremony  in order to register to vote or,  as soon as i became a US citizen i can go a head and register ?

2. I know registering to vote is a right, what are the benefits for registering to vote? 

3. There is a question while registering : if i  consent to the use of my DMV signature to register to vote? should i answer yes or no to this question? im not sure if the signature here means my old signature at dmv while applied for ID or its something new? for ex if i answer no, how they will get the signature?

1. Go as soon as you have your naturalization certificate. 

2. The only benefit for registering to vote is actually voting in elections.

Since you are Californian, your ID should have your signature. They meant the signature in your ID.

My husband was able to register to vote at the USCIS center immediately after his ceremony (in Ft Lauderdale), so there doesn't seem to be any reason to wait to register.

I registered to vote on the day I became a citizen, I received my voter registration card in the mail today. So you should be good as long as you received your naturalization certificate. 

 

The benefit in registering is that you can actually vote in elections. You can’t vote without registration (at least in MD) Voting is also a responsibility of US citizens. 

 

I am unsure about your last question.

I also registered online right after I came home from my ceremony, already received my voter's registration card in the mail.
