To those of you who have 2 receipt numbers and get updates on the second one? Which letters came with the new receipt number? And is it in any way similar to the initial receipt number?

All my mail pieces have the same receipt number and the status hasn't changed since February. I am wondering if I just don't have the right number to get updates. I'm worried because when I waited for my 2 year GC, one day I got a status update saying they destroyed my card because I supposedly didn't get in touch with them. Turns out that was a human error because the card arrived in the mail 2 days later. Anyway, I would like to keep an eye on my case but it looks like I can't.

I'm in the same boat as you, just one receipt number that I got on my NOA.

I queried this in person at my local immigration office as like you, I was worried that I'd miss something important. The officer told me that I wouldn't get any other number if I didn't get a biometrics appointment,  because the process was being updated so that only one receipt number is used for the entire life of the case.

Not sure I'm 100% on board with that but I still only have one receipt number and I can access my case at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus and https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ and the app. All pretty much say the same thing under my one and only WAC number - "nothing much is happening with your case."

I'm paraphrasing. 😅

Depends on the RFE. If they need something to complete the review (like extra evidence), it can take a month, two, depends. Sometimes they just lose documents and issue RFE. Hard to tell nowadays with the processing times. If they sent you a RFE, it means they are working on your case so you should be done soon.

I would consider Feb 18 awful :P lucky is an I-751 approval within 6 months of your NOA. This 15.5 month processing time is madness

Utter madness! but lets see what happens in December or Jan for September 17 filers...if we see CSC movement then Feb 18 would be more than likely
