Hey @ros88

I'd suggest trying to get an Infopass appointment asap, especially if you're travelling outside of the States. With a stamp in your passport, you should be ok for international travel.

Have you had any contact on your I-751? NOA, biometrics (either an appointment or confirmation that you don't need one) and you should have had a letter by now extending your status by another 6-months.

Let us know, there's lots of help available on this forum. You're not alone, most of the Oct-2017 filers are waiting for news...

19 Apr-19:  N400 ~ Naturalization Oath Ceremony, certificate in-hand! (from submission to oath, 6 months)

1 May 19: Voter registration card in-hand

3 May 19: USA passport in-hand

I can understand your concerns. The good news is that you're definitely in the system and your case will be touched... Gawd knows when though!

Have you tried getting an Infopass appointment? It's easy to access appointments online, but some local offices have limited slots. Try giving USCIS (help desk) a call and ask to speak to a supervisor. Level 1 support is often unreliable.

You need to schedule an infopass appointment right away. If you see there are none available then call them, they should have sent the 18-month extension letter by now. I’m sorry you are going through this, the wait isn’t easy but at least some of us did get the additional 6-month extension.

The number is 800-375-5283. Verify it’s the same on your letter, and remember to request speaking to a supervisor. Good luck!

You'll often be in for a wait. You won't get through to a supervisor without asking.

While you're hanging on the line, have a look at what infopass appointments are available: https://my.uscis.gov/en/appointment

Good luck!

They told me that the wait to get a green card can be up to 12 months and to get an extended I have to go to a infopass!!!!!!!! I should leave in 3 days...I don't know what to do and if it is really going to be another year for the green card....may I know if there is somebody that filed in October 2017 like me and has more news than me?

Thank you

The wait is more like up to 21.5 months for CSC filers: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

There are Oct-2017 who have got their green cards now, but most of us here are in for the long wait and are approaching our one year anniversary since filing the i-751.

How are you getting on with attempting to get an infopass appointment? If the are no special circumstances, this seems to be your best bet. An I-551 stamp in your passport is the equivalent of extending your green card and should ease stress about return entry to the States. Infopass appointments are typically held in the same local field office as your biometrics appointment.

So....when should we be approved? the letter with the extension should come automatically? some of you just received the letter why shoud I instead go to a infopass?

Should we be approved before December?

October filing approved were from the Vermont center?

thanks guys!
