So we are scheduled the same date and time and my zip code I just realized they messed up as well... I will call USCIS on Monday, but I read another thread and looks like some people have been able to walk in to their local offices and explain the situation and get their biometrics done without issues.

Thanks, that's a relief. I will call them on Monay. I will also call Jacksonville and ask if I can do this via Infopass.

It's been like this all the way for me, every step of the way. Got a notice that my card was destroyed once, received it two days later. Will file for naturalization the second I am eligible to try and put an end to this.

Definitely give Jacksonville a call.  There was someone trying to do a walk in for biometrics when I was there in December and the security guards were being so incredibly rude and wouldn't let them in the building, despite the waiting room for biometrics appointments being practically empty.

11/07/2017 - Mailed I-751 to CSC

11/13/2017 - I-751 delivered to CSC

11/13/2017 - NOA1 Date

11/17/2017 - Received NOA Letter

11/17/2017 - Date of Biometrics Letter

11/24/2017 - Biometrics Letter received

12/08/2017 - Biometrics Appointment Date

08/16/2018 - 18 month extension letter received (dated 08/11/2018)

02/12/2019 - New Card is being Produced

02/22/2019 - 10 Year Green Card received

I think they state on their website that they don't let anyone in without an appointment. I can't just go there anyway, I have to make arrangements at work. I work from 7 to 7 M-F, I also teach during that time and will need to find a substitute for the day of the appointment. Argh.

That’s true, I will contact USCIS and try to get an info pass appointment for my local office. I hope they won’t have me request a reschedule though, I just don’t want to have to wait much longer.

I'm sorry you guys are having problems - it's bad enough waiting 7 months for biometrics news without having to go through this hoopla as well.

I had brighter news. My letter today from USCIS said that I wouldn't be called for finger printing. They'll use my old prints, and the fee will not be refunded.

Just another 12 months or so to go...

Hang in there. This will all be over before you know it. Will you be applying for N-400?

Thanks for your update.

Yes,  I think I will. Processing times are so long and it causes so much stress. I want all this behind me. I also really want to vote!

Those of you who don't have to get Biometrics done, did you get married in the states and then file for adjustment of status? Trying to figure out if there's a pattern. I got married in my home country and then applied for CR1.

Yes, we married in the states with me (British) coming to the States on a K1 (fiance) visa. After we got married we applied for adjustment of status (AoS) and I got my 2-year green cared within 4-months.

I also received the same letter on Saturday saying that they will use my past biometrics info.

This is better than nothing...

I received this letter as well on Saturday (I'm also a K-1 recipient). I tracked my Petition nr on USCIS.gov, and it says my local office (Denver?) received my file on March 5th. And now more waiting....

I just got off the phone with USCIS, the agent tried transferring my call to second level but the wait time is 315 minutes so I will be getting I call back in about 5 hours I hope... she said all looks correct on my file, and that it must have been their mistake when they typed the letter and assigned the ASC center. I will post an update when they call me back, but hopefully they’ll be able to reschedule to my nearest office.

Second level agent assured me I would be able to walk in to my nearest office and explain the situation and they will take my biometrics.
