Just got it. Not sure what this means in terms of if they are working on the application or not. Does anyone maybe know of someone who got this same letter and what happened after this?

At least i now know i wont receive biomtrics notice. That was always up in the air for me.

Thanks for the update. Looks to me like perhaps this is the formal response to your post on 18 April where USCIS let you know via email that you wouldn't need fingerprinting done.

Seems like a definite sign that your case is getting some traction now. :)

Also, and this is just me doing some guesswork, it points to a positive sign that your case is straightforward and there may be no request to dig around in your application for more evidence.

Oooh, is it that time again? I'm nearly at the point of turning these reminders off, but for now, I'd still hear 'we're doing nothing' than no contact at all. :)

Getting a letter today from USCIS. Not nearly as excited as I thought I'd be, which could be a good thing, as I'm accepting the looooooong wait still ahead of me.

I did notice the letter is coming from CSC, so I guess that may prove that my case didn't go anywhere and is not yet at my 'local office.' Perhaps 'local office' is different from 'field office' and means in USCIS world, the service centre deemed 'local' to your state.

Dunno.

I will report back when the mail comes, but my guess it's either notification that I either need/don't need biometrics or my 'Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction'. I doubtful though, as that seems to happen further down the line.

My case hasn't been updated online, so I don't think it's anything earth shattering.

Have a good Saturday everyone, keep smiling! :)

Hi guys! I received a notice today for a biometrics appointment. The crazy thing about it is that for some reason they have scheduled it for me to go to Portland, OR! I live in Michigan and have never even been to Oregon, this is very strange. I tried to reach USCIS by phone but of course they only attend people Monday through Friday. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t realize this and I hope I can have it change to Michigan... this is crazy.

Yep, I guess today is an exciting day for many of us waiting for our Biometrics Apt Letter as it appears that many received their letter today.  Woohoo!!   My apt is less than 2 weeks away in Oxnard, California.  Finally, this process can be completed.

For those of you who havent got yours yet, hold on, the day will come!!

I received my appointment notice as well, for 5/25 at 8 am in Santa Clara CA - I am in Florida. They messed up my zip code (it was correct on the previous letter) and scheduled my appointment on the wrong coast. It should have been in Jacksonville, FL. Help, what do I do? A request to reschedule by mail surely won't be enough.

So we are scheduled the same date and time and my zip code I just realized they messed up as well... I will call USCIS on Monday, but I read another thread and looks like some people have been able to walk in to their local offices and explain the situation and get their biometrics done without issues.
