Haha 😂 well I have never been a big apple fan but my daughter is. But I found a new app for them that is brand new. But get this. If I manually check my receipt online or through the app it does say it was received at the local office on March 5. But if I look at it within my account on the new uscis it doesn't have that update yet. How weird! Nice to know it's moved though lol

Unless you've received a transfer notice in the mail or you've received the 'My case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction' message, your case is probably still at the service center.Who knows though really. This whole case transfer thing is a mess. Good luck!

One of the September 2016 filer said this:

"I just got off the phone with USCIS asking them about this transfer, and the officer was specific, that, it is to reduce the backlog on CSC. So, hopefully, we are going to see lots of approvals from CSC applicants. Good luck."

So I guess they are transferring these files because of the backlog on CSC. I hope that is true . :D

I saw this on another thread so I hope this is true. I have already had my biometrics. And they just got their notice in February and they are March 2017 filers. Fingers crossed.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice. Be advised that USCIS may be able to reuse the previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics for some applicants and have their biometrics copied into our systems. In addition, USCIS can run the same security checks and use the same biometric data as in the past and may not need to schedule an additional biometrics appointment. However, if a biometric appointment is necessary, USCIS will schedule your appointment electronically and mail the appointment notice to your current mailing address. The biometrics fee will not be refunded.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share some news... nothing too much of value though.

I sent case inquiry about my "Notice not recieved" (biometrics or transfer notice I was hoping for) on March 30 2018. They got back to me on April 13th 2018 saying that they looked at my inquiry regarding my case being outside of processing time?? and mentioned that it is within processing times and to please be patient. So I was bored yesterday and I decided to call customer service and create another inquiry about my biometrics and NOT case processing time.

They got back to me the exact same day (yesterday) with:

The status of this service request is:
On 04/17/2018, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-751 to notify us that you have not received the biometrics appointment.  You want to know if you need to have your biometrics processed.
USCIS record indicates your Form I-751 was received on 10/16/2017.  The current processing time for Form I-751 is between 17-19 months.  USCIS record also indicates that you are not required to have your biometrics captured.  Therefore, you will not receive an appointment at this time.

What stuck out to me though was this: USCIS record also indicates that you are not required to have your biometrics captured

I don't believe I've seen this before but anyway. I wasn't really expecting anything of value from them out of this, other than to cure some of my bordem.

One other thing i saw in the I-751 March 2017 thread was that someone who did NOT apply for N-400 got their case moved to another USCIS location. So I thought this was a bit interesting.

CSC filer here, so I was still ready to wait another 6-7 months, but got a bunch of mails last night from my.uscis.gov.

Like most, I had the "transfer" thing happen late FEB 2018, but yesterday, a series of transfers:

April 16, 2018

We transferred your case to another USCIS office for processing

As I have NOT filed for my N-400, I'm not sure why they're transferring cases now, but at least something is moving :)

 Anyway, good luck everyone :D

I wonder how concrete that is about not needing the biometrics? I wouldn't mind getting that confirmed as I'm hesitant to go very far just in case I called in for finger printing. I just get the same old 'be patient' message each month when I chase.

Thanks for the update!

No problem. Yea it is weird.

Before I even joined VJ, I was googling around trying to find out why my biometrics notice was taking so long to get to my mail box and I came across an article, blog or forum like this where a few people received denials because they didnt go for their biometrics when they also didnt receive a biometrics notice.

So when I got this "update" i was kind of relieved because now it takes that out of the equation of things that could happen.

What i think you could do if you dont have an inquiry currently pending is to call USCIS and ask them to specifically write in your inquiry that you are looking for just the biometrics notice(which is what the lady did for me) and you may get the same update as this for your peace of mind.
