Hi everybody!

I didn't read through all of these comments so not sure if there is someone with the same situation as mine. Anyways, I filed my i751 on October 24th, received notice of action a week after and was so surprised how fast it made it. But my excitement has been gone for few months, as now it's end of March and I still haven't received a biometrics appointment. I call there every few weeks, but of course nobody can do anything. Last time a person submitted a technical request or something like that and now whenever I call they say I have to wait 30 days since I submitted that request so they will answer me. It is soooo annoying, it's been 5 months since I filed, does anyone here have something similar going on??? If it takes so long for just biometrics, then how long will it take to actually issue a green card? What if my 1 year extension expires by then?

I would schedule an infopass appointment and find out what's going on

Welcome to the Oct-17 filers club @Margarita_Ch. You're not alone, in fact, your dates mirror mine. I'm a CSC filer and have yet to receive a biometrics appointment. So, a quick list of things you can do (if you haven't already):

  • create an account so you can view progress and raise case inquiries (handy if you don't want to call USCIS) https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do
  • download the case tracker app
  • make sure you've set your alerts to 'Y'
  • you can make an infopass appointment at your local office to attempt a biometrics screening (some have had success with this, I didn't)
  • 30 days before your one year extension expires, make an infopass appointment for a stamp in your passport (I-55i). This is equivalent to a green card and will give you another extension
  • hang tight and breathe... most of us are in for the long game

Best of luck and do let us know how you get on!

So does anyone know where we stand with this spending bill Trump just signed ??

The spending bill will most likely have absolutely zero impact on USCIS and ROC processing times etc.  This is because the USCIS is a fee based agency and its funding is not based on appropriations from Congress

I don't think it's related. The only immigration thing I heard about it was that DACA remains the same as it was when Trump terminated it on September 5 2017. This means that USCIS is not accepting new DACA applications but they are still processing renewals . (Please someone correct me if I am wrong)

I'm not sure why they split my petition to 2 forms 1-751 and CRI-89 and the submitted dates are different. I submitted my i-751 back in Oct of last year and I don't know what the Feb 25th date is about. Did anyone get this?

I got this email this morning as well!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Here's what the account settings page looks like. Go to https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ (or create an account there if you don't have one yet) and you can choose to receive 'case inactivity notifications' every 2 weeks.

I got my first 'nothing is happening' message yesterday. As it's new to me, I'll take any contact about my case, but I can see this getting annoying fast. If so, I'll turn it off.

It's 29 March, the day USCIS say I can raise my next 'case inquiry'. So I did and was surprised that I could. I thought that as my case falls into the 17.5 to 19 months current processing time, my inquiry might be denied.

I'm curious to see how fast this will be turned around, especially since they are trying to improve timeliness on service requests. Perhaps before the expected date, 20 April. But I'm not expecting any real movement, I still don't have a biometrics appointment and it's nearly 6 months since filing.

Thank you for your request

USCIS will review and process the request.

Expect a reply by April 20, 2018

@GoodbyeGirl I just did the same. Want to see if they finally send us our biometric appointment letters or give us the generic response i received when i asked them back in January.
