Someone in the I-751 February 2017 Filers thread got this.

"FEB 28 -  CASE TRANSFERRED TO LOCAL

MAR 06 -  CASE TRANSFERRED TO LOCAL AGAIN

AND TODAY MAR 07 - IT SAYS THEY MOVED MY CASE AGAIN TO OTHER OFFICE>   COULD IT BE VSC? SEEMS like vsc processes fast.   has anyone had the same thing ?

Screen Shot 2018-03-07 at 9.55.53 AM.png

"

I haven't seen this on mine.
Even if they really were transferred to the local office, I don't think this means it's moving 'fast'. Everyone just got transferred at the same time. Local offices are also overloaded. There can be years of people before us. It only means that we are in a different pile at a different office. Maybe I am being negative...I wanna be optimistic, but nothing I hear/read is positive. My friend got her conditions removed within 2-3 months a few years ago. Another friend had her conditions removed within 6 months (and this friend got divorced after a year! and her ex was fighting her all the way, hoping she would get kicked out. they did have a happy relationship through college + when got married, but it went sour quick after and they got divorced, her ex was bitter... she still got to stay and the case was done within 6 months only!). That was 7 years ago.... Now it is way longer from everything what I see :(

Alright guys so this is weird.

I signed up on that new website and created my account.

Remember how we have 2 case numbers? Well I put in the first one and it say "We received your case and waived the filing fee" with a case submit date of 10/11/2017 and that being the last update on it. This is the case number that shows up as CRI-89

When I check the other case number, the one that shows up as I-751, it say's "We received your case. You do not need to do anything at this time. If you do not receive your notice by March 29 send us a case inquiry". This case has 3 case history updates: 10/10/17 - case received 02/25/18 - case received and 02/27/18 - case received. |

This is very odd - especially for the first one! They DID NOT waive the filing fee! Absolutely not! That is wrong. Any idea why?

Perhaps it's an automated message. Majority received the same thing.

So... started to follow the Case Was Received At My Local Office thread and discovered there seems to be two different website to check case status.

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

The second one bares no mention of "local office" and has lead to some new info implying to expect some sort of notice by the end of March, otherwise submit a case inquiry...

Also, based on the case history on the second site... mine had the "received your case" messaging on the 2/25 (which i had missed) before being changed to the 2/27.

Thank you so much Vincent, this is super helpful and yet so confusing. As soon as I read this, I went to the second website to double check and I have the same thing as you. What is this? Which one should we believe? I’m also kinda curious about this transfer to local offices. Do you think this is a sign that we all are gonna get interviewed?

I have seen the second site (the one with the dhs), but havent bothered to create an account there. I think that site will help us get to filing n400 online, so we didn't bother to create an account just yet. Why does USCIS need so many different accounts? Don't the same credentials work for both sites?

It happened to me also. I sent a request months ago and heard nothing. I tried yesterday and I was able to reset my password magically.

My lawyer recieved an interview notice yesterday, i asked him about the reason why based on his experience,( and hes a good lawyer). Today he emailed me back saying that he just had a chat with an immigration officer today, i guess at an interview or something, and was told that its a new requirements for all applicants or at least most who file any type of case concerning green cards will have to be interviwed. I guess thats why i recieved my interview notice yesterday, and thats why i and so many others when we check our case status on the other website it does mention that if you dont recieve the notice within a month contact us, that might confirm that lots of interview notices are in the mail. Am csc november fiker

Interviews for all???

I remember reading this a while back... i wonder if this has something to do with it?? Who knows.

The cnn link is a somewhat old development.. majority of the new interview requirements were for employment/refugee/asylum -based GCs. Family based interviews may be more incremental, but not all. Neither USCIS, nor local offices have resources to interview everyone.

I saw this in the respective threads for filers in those months. You may have to go back a few pages in the thread to see everything. There is a thread for each month.

I'm with you... it's kind of dumb and misleading especially if the information is different.  My accounts on those two sites have different sets of credentials.

Hey Guys..

So yesterday I was having trouble logging into that second website for us to check our case status. So today I went ahead and just created a new account under another email.

This is what I have found with both my CRI-98 and I-751 cases.

This is my I-751. Which is weird for many reasons.

1. The date on my NOA is October 16 2017

2. When all this case transfer mess was going on. On the other website, they first received it on February 26 2017 and then again on March 5 2017 ...  but on this website... the dates dont even match... not even 1.

Then we have this CRI-89.

Which is weird because

1. They waived my filing fee... so what do I get my $680 or whatever the fee was back lol?

2. Just like the I-751... the received date is incorrect as the date on my NOA is October 16 2017

Anyway guys.

So from here ill just wait until March 29 and see if i receive a notice in the mail or not.. if not ill just submit case inquiry and call uscis... great fun.

I see the same stuff on mine. I don't think you will get any notice or notice any change on the site just like you never did on the past dates mentioned there. It's going to be a long wait. Brace yourself
