We completed out biometrics on 12/18/17

Checked our case status online this morning and it says case was transferred to the local field office March 4th.

Odd - so do you guys think there will be an interview involved? Are they really working on the cases now? Possible glitch?

Honestly, no one really knows what's going on at this point. There are different theories on what's going on (based on local office update), but I think we should all wait for couple of weeks and see how all this turns out. If this is a glitch, they will fix it by then or if they actually sent all the files to local offices, you'll get some sort of notification in the mail. :pop:

slightly off topic, but can people PLEASE update their timelines? Just because it becomes confusing when there are people commenting and they have K-1 status or CR1 showing. Everyone should have ROC (Removing Conditions) checked off. Just makes it less confusing in this already confusing process.

Hi, I'm new to the forum.

I was doing some research and decided to post my case info as well.

USCIS received my case on Oct 5th 2017 and today, March 5th 2018 it was transferred to my local office in Phoenix. Not sure what's going on but I will post any update. :)

The same exact thing just happened to me. my case got transfer to the local office on Feb. 26th now I just checked again and it says "your case was received at my local office on march 5th". I'm so, so confused right now. What does that even mean?

Hi everyone,

I found that there were 2 approvals for people that filed their I-751 in July 2017 at CSC (1 looks like it was a N-400 case but the other is pure I-751)

image.thumb.png.ee21fc1ab25fa222722e05fa96931668.png

This can be found in the "case was received at my local office" here:

Just for anyone interested in this case. I see there has been a lot of chatter about this is their I-751 July 2017 filers thread which can also be found here:

I cannot draw any conclusions from this but just if anyone is interested.

Thanks everyone.

I called the USCIS and spoke to the Immigration officer and he confirmed that my case was transferred to my local office but the transfer doesn't indicate anything like early approval or interview schedule. He said that ROC is the longest process that takes even up to 17 months and they don't predict any progress in this matter. The case might be sitting for another few months before being reviewed.

Me thinks those July 2017 approvals are outliers. A handful of cases get approved super early, a handful are delayed beyond hope. The majority are taking an average 11-12 months at VSC, and about 16 months at CSC

I-751 journey

10/16/2017.......... ROC package mailed

10/18/2017.......... I-751 package received VSC

10/19/2017.......... I-797 NOA date

10/30/2017.......... Notice received in mail

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed

11/02/2017.......... Conditional GC expired

11/22/2017.......... Biometrics completed

They may be outliers but I truly believe that this system "glitch/bug" is debunked.

After the system maintanence.. we still see that our cases are sent to our local offices regardless if the date changed or not on the CRI-89 or I-751.. they are there and being worked on in the order in which they were filed.

My therory here is... since these local offices do not provide any information on the processing times of these I-751 applications.

Their goal will be to process these I-751 applications as fast as possible(which is the main reason for the transfer... to get rid of the work overload), even if it means to put the other applications (I-485, N-400, N-600) on a brief hold.

Regardless of what the Tier 1 or Tier 2 agents tell you.. I also believe those people don't know everything what is happening with our cases. (as we have seen throughtout history these people providing misinformation and unable to answer basic questions about cases)

Anyway, I hope this brings some encouragement to people.

But I think we just need to sit tight for right now and I am confident we will start seeing more movement within these next weeks or months and all this mess will start to clear up.

Please let me know your thoughts on this guys or am I crazy?

@jadeswanson thank you for brightening my day! When the alert came in on your post, I went over to the July-17 filers forum and was so pleased to read all the warm and fuzzies for the couple that have just been approved.

No idea if they are an exception or if this is an indication that the wait times will finally reduce... I'm just happy to see something good happening. :)

Doesn't get me anywhere to over think all thisB-)  I've programmed my mind to wait till end of year for approval, if we get it early, that'll be great. Our end goal is n400.. which is adjudicated at the local office. I'm more interested in how the i751 transfers, if true, would affect citizenship process timing.

:) I hear you! We've put off our house move on the assumption that I'll get approved around Mar-19 (today's processing times for Oct-17 filers) so I'm definitely thinking worst case scenario. But though I'm preparing for a massive wait, I am watching the i751 transfers like a hawk. It would be amazing to get rid of this stress and get approved within the next few months. This weekend I'm going to start looking at all that's needed for the N400 as I think my window opens for that in Oct this year.

We're really hoping the approvals come in Sept/October this year and not stretch to next year March. But anyhow, we are also planning to apply for n400 when our window opens.  @GoodbyeGirl would you mind posting what's needed for n400 when you get some info? Thanks!

Does anyone know if it's possible to apply for Global Entry while this application is pending ?

Also, we realized that my husband will be eligible to apply to his citizenship in December 2018, what if the 10 year GC is still not approved by then? Is it possible to just go straight for the N400?
