Are a lot of people (like us) still waiting to get their Biometrics letter from the California Service Center? Or have a lot of people forgotten to enter their biometrics appointment data? We submitted our package on 10/18 and got our NOA a few days later. Nothing since then...I'm starting to get a little worried.

I am registered with the California Service Centre also, I received by NOA on October 31st, but have not received my letter for my biometrics appointment either. Do not fear. Take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. It will arrive.....

Are you at VSC or CSC? From the list, 75% of VSC filers have gotten their biometrics letter. Not sure about those from CSC. Either they forgot to enter their dates, haven't login to VJ a long time, or no biometrics letter in hand yet. I believe the max for biometrics letter is 90 days after NOA (correct me if I am wrong) and after you pass that just contact USCIS. It also depends on how busy your center is. No worries, you'll get the letter soon.

I am in the same boat wondering the same thing. Happy for the VSC people... but surely enough... the CSC side seems to be lagging in comparison. Was getting a bit worried... but glad to hear that I'm not the only one. Our NOA date is also 10/31, based on the list there are others before and after our date that have not gotten biometrics. Let's hope for the best!

Hello everybody,

Okay, so my gc will be expiring 01/11/2018, i mailed my I 751 to CSC 10/08/2017, they recieved it 10/10/2017 and mailed it back saying i submitted my forms to early.

So i resubmitted the same forms again 10/17/2017, i recieved my I 797 NOA biometrics letter which has the notice date of 10/28/2017. I recieved that letter 1 week before my biometrics date ( 11/16/2017)

My concerns are:

1. I didnt recieve any 797 extension letter, just that biometrics letter. Do i need to follow up on that or just wait because im thinking they might have mailed it but was lost?!?

2. I have 2 case numbers , the I751 and CR189, the 751 case number doesnt have any updates but the cr 189 says that " they have recieved my application and they mailed me instructions..." something like that. What does that mean? Am i still waiting for my 751 NOA?

3. Will the service center location affect the wait time?

We are VSC. We did receive our Biometrics letter for 12/6. However, we had to request a reschedule following the instructions on the form due to my wife being due with our baby any day. I didn't want to do that, but didn't see another option. Going early was too risky for traveling and I had heard the Jackson, MS ASC doesn't generally allow early walk-ins. And the 6th is way too soon after the baby is due. I'm hoping they give us a new date soon.

Updates:

I just called USCIS , and the automated update said that they have recieved my application 10/23, and that the CRI89 card is at their service center.

I asked the CSR and she said that my case is still pending, they mailed 2 forms, the NOA on the 23rd, which i havent recieved and the biometrics appt letter. I requested if they could remail the NOA, they said i need to make a written request for it and mail it back to them.

I asked them about the 2 case numbers on my application, she said the 751 is still pending and only the cri89 is the only updated one.

Hello Everyone!

I am totally stressed over travelling. My gc expires 23 dec2017. I am travelling out of country 3rd Dec.1) ofcourse I have extension letter ad my biometrics is done too so if I understand correctly as far as I have the extension letter even if I come after expiration of actual gc which is 23 dec 2017 it wont create any problem right?

2) I am starting new job on 2nd Jan. They require unexpired document from list A i.e gc or-551 Stamp. (I know this might be discussed before but i am in panic mode ) Now when i return to usa before/after gc expiration date of 23dec will the immigration officer put i551 stamp with1 yr extension again or not?

i received my NOA dated 10/13/2017. Am with CSC and still waiting for my biometrics letter and wondering why the hell is it taking so long? M on a MAC and trying to update the list above has been a headache and i fail each time. If someone is willing to update my info on the list i will be very grateful.
