I called USCIS on there 800 number to schedule info pass appointment . Somebody called me within 72 hrs from NY. But she didn't schedule my infopass appointment because she said to read me the date on 18 months extension letter and exact wording in letter but i was at work so I said I dont have a letter right now . She said I need to call back and have letter handy . Then she will able to schedule an appointment.  Anybody experienced this?

No but you are supposed to carry the letter with you at all times. It’s your „green card“.

Something similar happened to me, they called me in random hours and I was never able to pick the phone call. They will call you back. They call 2 times. Take a picture of your documents and be able to give them info

I'm sorry that you experienced that. It doesn't make any sense.

Did you apply for N-400? If so, chances are you won't get approved nor get an RFE! My I-751 was transfered to NSC as well, however, I also applied for N-400. They will be processed together at the same time. So I won't get approved before my N-400 interview. I made an inquiry about a missing letter, and though I didn' ask they told me that they will be processed together.

@Butterfly83 I didn't apply for N-400. I'm trying to save money towards it. Right now, my financial situation isn't so great.

I totally anderstand you, I’m in the same boat. In fact, my case  number is WAC1801700xxx, and I got transferred to NSC on November 5th, 2018 as well. It is frustrating to see how everybody else around our number gets approved. I hope we hear something soon because this wait and anxiety drives me insane.

@Ali7 Same to you, my friend. We're in this together!

Looks like service centers recieve instruction to send more RFE . Nebraska notoriously  started sending lot of rfe .

That is a rumor.  Service Centers are directed to scrutinize the “marginal cases” more, and hence more RFEs are being sent out to give cases with weak evidence opportunity to address the deficiencies prior to sending them for an interview, if RFE is still not satisfying the officers.

Hi Everyone,  longtime lurker first time poster.   I applied for 751 Oct 18, 2017.   Nothing but the 12 month and 18 month extension letters besides the glitch back in March last year saying transferred to local office.  Then Jan 4;2019 application was transferred from csc to vsc.  Next update March 12 new card was ordered.....jump for Joy journey is almost over.    Imagine my happiness when I arrived home today to the mail lady pulling up to deliver my new card.....now the tears as I look at my card and they have my birth year wrong 😰.   I just filed form I90 to get it corrected just wondering if anyone has experience with this any idea how long it might take for them to correct it?

This is a typical channel to submit a request to correct document errors made by USCIS.

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do;jsessionid=abc49m9W0kXh1aKRap_Lw?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError

I have not done it myself, but I was told it takes about 2 weeks if submitted online.

Thank you I just filled out this request but I also filled out the I90 request for a correction....hopefully doing both doesn’t screw me up

Ooooh, got a status change - my new Green Card is in the mail! Was hoping I could track it, still not convinced it's really on its way. I'd love to have it, even just for a few weeks. I can stop hawking around the expired card and extension letter. :)

The card is unlikely to be produced because as it has to be handed over prior to the oath. I assume they're then destroyed. The new cards are very sophisticated with several security features. The Naturalization Certificate is what matters.

Oh nice.. you might get a txt/email with a tracking number once USPS picks up the card following production. We got the tracking info 3 days after the production msg. All in all it was a mere 7 days from production to delivery in our case.

The messages may get sent immediately following an action but the actual production of the card, preparation for shipping, and handover from USCIS to USPS takes time.
