Hello All,

I've been reading for about half a year but this is my first post. This morning the status of my ROC has updated to "new card is being produced". I initially filed jointly on October 14th 2017 at CSC and they received the documents on October 17th 2017. They gave me case number WAC1801700XXX. I got a status update on February 25th and another one on the 27th, 2018, on myUSCIS: "Case was received at my local office". I never received an appointment for biometrics so I submitted a "missing document" inquire. They got back to me with the info that no new biometrics are needed, they would reuse the old ones.

Time went by, until November 20th 2018 when my case updated again but only on the USCIS case app (iPhone) telling me that a new office has jurisdiction over my case. A week after that, I received a letter in the mail, saying that my case was transferred to the Nebraska Service Center. Then nothing again, until this morning when my status on the phone app changed to "new card is being produced". There is no update on the myUSCIS website yet. And before I forget, I did not file for N400.

So that's it I suppose. I wish I could pass on hope, and good wishes, and comfort, but these 17 months of waiting have been nothing short of hell on earth. And there seems to be no way of calculating/understanding the process either, which makes it so unbearable. So, I guess, it comes down to this: good LUCK to you all.

Tax question:

I received an RFE in January and I have pretty much everything together. What I don't yet have is an IRS transcript because they haven't approved our joint tax return yet. We e-filed on 2/9 via CreditKarma. We did the same last year.

So my question: those of you who have already filed taxes this year, have you received your refund? This is driving me bonkers, time is running out. I'll have to request the IRS transcript next week, refund approved or not.

When did you receive rfe? How long did it take to get to your mail box?

If you ask for tax transcripts, how it will affect your refund?  I filed in Feb 20th and got my refund.

It won't. But I need my transcript to include this year's tax return.

Just give what filed.. Some give transcripts some just give a couple forms with both names on it... Give what you have and explain so instead of waiting for nothing

I applied N-400 and it seems my I-751 is  a cold case now.  All cases around me are approved.

Same dilip Kumar. We in da same boat papi.i think the majority of ppl that got em cards didn't apply for no n400. We in for a long wait dear. We in March....remember we was talking about this back in Sept and I said we won't even hear back until June probably. There many Dec-march n400 2017 applicants that are still waiting so, don't hold your breath. 2017/8/9 is not our year. Maybe 2020...

Just saw the "new card is being produced" message!!! I filed on October 24, 2017 to CSC and transferred to Nebraska. And finally approved today. My receipt number is WAC 18024******.

Thank you guys for all the encouraging comments and I sincerely hope this wait would be over soon for those of you that are still waiting.

But the bad news is, I'm moving out of my apartment on March 23... How long did it take you guys to receive your card in the mail? I have missed receipts in this location before. If I were to change my address now to my new address, would it have enough time to change in their system?

@Eidwetab

Congratulations are in order for you!

You will have enough time.  Maximum is most likely 7 business days (10 days) for the card to arrive.  Once you get another update that the card has been picked up, you will have a tracking information too.  From that point it takes another 2-3 business days, anywhere in the US.

If we estimate the time you will get the card on USCIS standard procedure, your card will be picked up no later than this coming Wednesday, 3/13, and you should get it by Saturday 3/16, or Monday 3/18 at the latest (if your USPS doesn’t do Saturday delivery).

@GBOS thank you so much. Just what I needed to hear. Yes my apartment has Saturday delivery. But some part of me can't stop worrying and stressing until I get the card. Probably habit from all these years of worrying. When they transferred my case to Nebraska back in November I never received the notice... Hopefully this time the card will actually arrive at this address.

I can understand.  I filed in March 2018, way behind you, and I am thinking about it all the time.

Keep us posted when you get the card.  Hopefully it is there before Saturday.

@GBOS will keep you all updated. Thanks for the support. I know it's hard for everyone, but try to relax and forget about the case. Get a stamp and go travel if you have time.

Call and have them verify the address with you first thing Monday morning, so if something is not correct on their system, you can correct it before it gets shipped.

@GBOS I filed AR11 every time I moved and they have all been completed (status says your request to update your address is complete)... So I assume it's the right address? I have never called them before.
