Send a request " did not receive the notice"

No need.

Text shows member is approved and would get the green card in a few days; the Approval letter likely would be sent too. We received both!

Just returned from a trip to India using the i-551 stamp. Overall smooth sailing, but not everyone overseas is familiar with the stamp. No issues with CBP at Washington airport. Suggest carrying all docs, never know what could come in handy.

Detailed post here

That’s great! Thanks for the info. I’m going on a cruise next week and I only have the official extension letter with the water marks. I hope that’s enough. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience! 😊

Sure thing.

Of course I'm sure you know you need to carry the expired green card too. Enjoy the cruise!

Well that is quite an exhaustive list already and m surprised they asking more on top of dat. Like I don't even have half of that. I got no kids cuz we keep trying and he won't just get pregnant. We don't have a house together and the rent is on his name. He is more than twice my age and I'm the breadwinner in the house. So if there's anything they've seen before I'm not part of that and they sure would ask me for an rfe and maybe they will...

What m tryna say is u don't need to change your house title or deed to put her name...just show evidence of a travel trip or something u did on valentine or dinner date receipts. Something that is genuine and unique to you two other than the formal and forced evidence they are used to. They want something refreshing. Surprise them..I know far more ppl who provided far less evidence and got approved far sooner than us

This is very true, I sent my response to the RFE earlier in February and my application got approved on Feb 21 and got the card after a few days. We are pretty young gay couple in NYC with no children, property, or anything "adult"-y to show. However, we sent utility bills in both of our names, lease, affidavits, emergency contact information and a ####### ton of pictures ranging from drunken make out snapchats to half naked instagram photos to birthday parties. Most of the documents were very casual and we explained it in the cover letter that we have no interest to own properties or to have children anytime soon. I think it lacked the polished or professional look you'd imagine they want, but it was very real and we were very honest about what the marriage means to us. It worked out well, so don't fret over making the application/response to RFE super precise, just make it real :)
