What's up with the whole "name was updated" on casetracker/USCIS online account? Does it mean anything?

Mine is WAC 18023xxx . On Nov 6th ,transfered to NSC from CSC. Today they just changed the transfer date to Nov 5th from Nov 6th.  I am not sure what are they doing ?

I751_HK- Hopefully, it is a good sign.  They might have touched your case and corrected the transfer date.

Hey so I dug up some stuff and seems like this is a good thing, means they touched the file. Hopefully we'll get a new update in a few days!

We are always hopeful , but they can update in computer without touching the file also.

Hello, late jan/early feb 2018 filer here. My case got transferred to Nebraska 2 weeks ago. Seeing that some of you are in the same boat and haven’t heard anything back yet is very frustrating.

i am 25 january filler. my status has not change since april 9. i am so sad. i do think vemont doing january yet.

@noemi83 Congratulations! I am excited to hear that your case has been approved. It gives me some hope since mine case is similar to yours - originally filed at CSC and got transferred to Nebraska on the same day as yours.

You should ask for an update on your case because it's past the processing time. If you look on the USCIS processing page for I-751, Nebraska is currently processing March 31, 2017 (it's not that accurate, I know). Given the fact that you're a January filer, you should be able to request an update as to why it's taken so long.

Got the notification this morning via e-mail of approval. WAC18019xxxxx 16 months to date. Interestingly I got an email 2 days ago mentioning that “your name has been updated”

Congrats . Did they transfer yours in past to Nebraska or anywhere else from California service center?
