My wife's I-751 filed in early Oct 2017 got transferred to Mesquite TX Dec 4th, 2018. We received email today that New Card Has Been Ordered. 

 

We had infopass appointment for her on 1/14/19 to get Stamp in Passport as we never got the 18 month extension letter. One day later the case was approved. Lol.

My case has been approved since January 8, and my case online was still ‘in local office’ , my green card arrived yesturday and then I got update case ‘card was delivered to me’. So maybe you will recieve your green card this days or your case will be update this days.

Quick question.  Is it okay to travel overseas on courtesy copy of 18 months extension ?

Depends on your risk appetite. 

 

An airline check-in agent could refuse a boarding pass with just a courtesy copy. Better to have an original, watermarked 18-mo extension letter, or the i-551 stamp in the passport. Int'l airlines or foreign immigration are fickle with anything short of a valid green card.
