I just made my (now) annual Christmas Eve call to USCIS to get the latest automated status on my case. It's confirmed that I am definitely at NBC, so at least I don't have to wonder if the letter will say something different.

Ho hum.

Merry Christmas to all my fellow Oct-2017 filers. 2019 will be our year! 🎅

Hello, I'm coming from Jan 2019 filers. Can anyone explain why it is an issue if your case is moving to local office?

1/12/2019: 90- ROC filing window open
1/17/2019: Mail I-751 Package via USPS Certified Mail
1/22/2019: Package arrived
1/28/2019: Receive case number via text message  #WACxxxxxxxxxx
2/21/2019: Call USCIS for non-delivery notice receipt
2/29/2019: Receive 18-month extension letter (2 pages)
4/30/2019: Biometric Appt
...waiting...

If you filed at VSC and you got the local office update and nothing else (no transfer to TX, NE or MO), your case is still in Vermont. All you can do is wait.

I file for my spouse at VSC and received the notice on April 9th that the case transferred to my local office.  Never received any other online notification, but I did submit an online status inquiry in November and they responded that the case was waiting background check status and that they could not move forward with my case until they receive the information from the FBI.  I've read in other places that this is a standard answer used when they are backlogged, and other horror responses saying that they've been on hold with this status for over 2 years without further movement.  Anyone else received this response and things worked out?   I also need to request for my 19 year old, unmarried step-daughter's visa who remained in his home country.  I'm wondering if I should still move forward with her family visa request or try to wait until my husband get's approved.  I don't want to wait until she gets closer to age 21.

If  the case is transfer to NBC, in my opinion, they will  send N-400 and I-751 both to your local field office and they might do combine interview or only N-400 interview and approve the I-751 before interview or after N-400 interview and you will not get any GC-10.  They just took out your $ 695, but I will not mind, since final journey is over with Citizenship ( after oath and passport)

I really don’t understand how they are proritizing the i751 cases... random selection it seems but unfair if that’s the case... very few cases before mine and after mine were approved... tracking EAC1800600XXX casss up to 150

Fruitnut- Did you file N-400?  Just wondering, since 3 cases approved skipping you.

No, I didn't. I'll wait until I have my 10 year GC. Then I'll have to deal with my embassy, do some paperwork to be able to do dual citizenship. Then I can file. I wouldn't mind giving up my current citizenship, but family and what-ifs ...

Daazii- I am also following cases and notice the same.  They are  randomly approving cases, not sure why?  May be each office gets 5-10 cases and it is up to the officer to approve them and each office might be getting  cases randomly.

If true... very unfortunate. Provided everything  that was required and still waiting as this Jan 4th - will mark 15 months... have not applied for N400... was waiting to get the card first now feels like a mistake ... ighhh... hope you had a good holiday!
