I all...I'm in this group too.  I mailed my documents overnight on Tuesday morning and tracking shows that it was received by the end of the day yesterday. So that's good.  Hubby will begin checking if the cheque is cashed tomorrow.

Any information on how I can find out when the extension letter should arrive?  Where can I check on that.  My gc expires on October 24 and my human resources person at work tells me that if I don't have that extension letter to her before then, that I must be terminated for not having a valid gc.  She would reinstate me as soon as I have it but it would also mean that my health insurance would have to be discontinued.  Totally bummed right now...... :(

As per our other VJ friends it seems like they are receiving their NOA letter within a 10 days or less. All we can do for now is keep patience. You can check to see if your i751 fee check is encashed once that is done good news might be your way. If you do not get NOA (extension letter) within 30 days you can ask uscis for information. But you can do that only after 30 days after you send your application. Hope you get your NOA soon.

Original Affidavits from us citizen/ permanent resident friends/family who know you both as a couple. If you have two friends who can write affidavits for you great! In my case I just have one close friend here so i asked a notarized affidavit from that friend and one from my mother in law. The letter should state since when and how that person knows you both as a couple and your on going relationship. I751 instructions also states affidavits sworn to or affirmed by atleast two people who have known both of you since your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship and that person  should include full name, address, date and place of birth, relationship to you and your spouse, and details how they know you.

Hi everyone! I have a  dumb (maybe) question, if it is, laugh but still I would really appreciate your answer. So, I need to file I-751, my green card expires on 01/2018, do I have to apply for renew or not?

Thank you!

If you are a conditional resident and if your gc expires 01/2018 yes have to file i751 within 90 days from your gc expiry date. Please refer to i751 instructions, the links are mentioned at the start of this topic or refer uscis website.

I understood that, what I am wondering is do I have to file I-751 and separately apply to renew green card what will cost me around $1300 or JUST file I-751 and wait for approval?
