My fiance' got email from embsay in Manila that she needed to do a ds160 bring birth certificate and medical results for her and her daughter but the daughter is not coming with her. Does she still need that?  She lives in Cebu but in Manila now for medical and interview. Any information would be appreciated

Yes,  I would.

most embassies want to know how many children your beneficiary has in the event you decide to bring them in the future

Is the daughter also applying for a visa? Is she moving to America with the mother?   If so, she needs to be at the interview and needs to complete the medical.

The daughter is staying in the Philippines with the fiance's parents till we get everything settled with her in America. I never paid any fees or filed a k2 for the daughter

I see.  I would think that your fiancee can explain that to the CO at the interview.  If your step daughter is not applying for a visa, they should not need her medical.  Sounds like a mix up at the Embassy.

I will for sure. The longest part is waiting for the noa2.  Just hang in there once you get the noa2 everything else is so much faster.

OK I have to ask.  When did you get your MNL # ?

Now to your questions.   Here is a link for info on the DS-160, plus there is a link to the embassy instructions letter for EVERYTHING that is required on this page also, as she will need more than a birth certificate.

No to completing the medical for her daughter being she will not be applying for a visa.  No completing a separate DS-160 for the daughter either.   No harm in bringing a PSA birth certificate for the daughter.. your fiancee has to get one anyway.

You did list the child on the I-129F I hope.   Even if not applying for a visa all children are to be listed (per the I-129F instructions sheet)
