Hey! Im a permanent resident and ive applied for my re-entry permit for the third time. I got my biometrics done and now want to leave the country again for studies purpose. Is it okay if i leave the country and some one from my family brings the travel document later on to me? Also if the application gets denied would there be any problem if i come back after some time?

I don't know how the re entry permit works exactly but if I'd see that someone applies for third one I'd seriously ask that person why it even needs a green card. Green card is meant for living in the US.

If denied it will depend on how long you have been out of the US. If you will spend more than a years out of the US then, yes, there may be problems. You could possibly lose your green card.

I have never seen a reentry permit applied for 3 times. The most I have read was 2. It is possible they may deny the third.

Sorry but I'm confused when people keep mentioning about "staying outside of the States more than one year". Does it mean if I plan to live outside of the States, I just gotta come back here to the States before the 12th months? For example, I can always go overseas for 10-11 months and come back ; then there won't be any issues?
