Hi everyone, im having some isssues relating to my medical. When applying for the k1 visa in Jamaica I did a medical, that was last year 2016. I'm now In the US, about to mail out the form and was told that I need to also do a medical again. And that I need to take with me any medical vaccination documents that I may have. Now when I arrived in the US I was taken to the customs and border protection area when all my documents where taken, including my medical documents. They didn't return any documents to me but stated that I am free to enter the country. Now I'm wondering how I can move forward from here. Because I don't see how. Can someone give me an answer to this question? Thanks.

Anyhow, it's hard to answer not knowing when in 2016 you had your medical. If it is within a year of filing AOS, then you do not need a new one, you would copy the DS-3025 (that the doc's office was supposed to give you after the medical - if they didn't then call or email them and ask if they can send you a copy.) The original DS-3025 is in the K1 medical that you probably handed over at POE - the copy you would send with the AOS application would just be a "reminder" to prompt them to locate your medical file - which you would think would be automatic, but many times proves not to be. The DS-3025 should be marked "COMPLETE" - which you will only know if you receive a copy from the doc.

When in 2016 was your medical taken? I believe they are only valid up to a year.

It's valid only for one year and SInce it's October now, I think you will have to go for another medical exam here in the US. ALso, when you got your medicals done in Jamaica you should be given your copy of the medical report along with the sealed package. Have you got the copy ?

I have a question, once the NVC send the consulate the packet from uscis how long after does the beneficiary get the instructions in the mail? do I have to call the consulate for them to send it to the beneficiary? and do we have to wait on that instructions packet to come in order to get the medical done?
