Yep! I would actually be happy if I call them and they tell me,yes we are trying to catch up but it won't go down that easily , or say no we will go with these new timelines so expect it to be a 210 days wait... anythingggg at this point would work for me

That will be almost impossible with the way things are going.  I'm an early June filer and I dont expect POE until late May or early June.  11 months is a pretty good estimate for NOA1 to POE right now.  It is possible to do it a couple weeks sooner but not much more than that. We anticipate the interview will be in April at the earliest and I filed on June 6.

 

Today is our day 223 and it is a Federal holiday.  According to Tier II, our case hasn't even been assigned yet so this week seems like a long shot.  There are May filers pushing towards day 240.  Just relax and let things happen.  Don't get caught up in the process.

 may have to rethink our wedding plans then, nothings booked its just wanting to let family & friends know a rough date

The very first thing I was told here was to never plan anything until you have VOH.  There are too many areas where delays can happen.  There have been stories here of people that have lost thousands of dollars on wedding deposits and airline tickets.  

 

Rose and I have decided to do a small courthouse wedding with family and then have a big reception/party at a later date once we are settled.  That will work great for us and took away all the stress of wedding planning while we were waiting on USCIS/NVC.  

 

It is just a thought but adding wedding planning stress to this already stressful situation will not be fun.  We need to enjoy this journey because it is bringing us together.

We havent got anything booked, we decided on ceremony on the beach then party back at a hall which is cheap & ideal for how many people we will have, i just wanted a rough date so my family can book work off to fly over to Jake’s. No date is set but we was hoping August but oh well... will have to get that out of my head

That is tough there because the weather can start turning colder in September!  I hope you make your August wedding.  I will pray for that!

Thankyou, i just need to remind myself the main goal is to be with Jake, thats the most important, the plans will fall into place. Just frustrating that we had a troll on here saying they got approved already 🤬

Keep in mind that some expedited cases may already be approved.  June had 9 cases approved that were expedited.  9 out of 4400.    There are trolls too.  If you pop over to the May, June or July threads you will see that some people run daily scans of USCIS.  In June we run them twice a day.  We have a good handle on who is approved and who isn't.  You can run scans on your phone too.  You can run up to 500 at a time but if you exceed 2000 (4 scans) a day they will block you for 24 hours.  That is automatic.  I scan where my WAC# is the 500th number so I can see the 499 cases before mine to see when approvals start up.

I don't see August as an impossible date, just don't book anything and be ready for a later date. We really don't know what's going to happen in the next months. If it keeps getting worse then yes, it'll be tough to make it by August. Just keep in mind that many people have been getting approvals in a "decent" amount of time, if we consider decent let's say up to 200 days. Of course there's gonna be +220, +230, +240 days cases, but (at least for now) they are not the norm.

 

I think of this process just as a matter of luck. A few lucky ones will get early approvals, most will get approved in an average time and some unlucky ones will get stuck in it. We can only wait and see what we get.
