I always got the best results when things looked terrible and disastrous. I started to believe if something doesn't go the way it suppose to, at least the way I wish it to be, I usually get something better on the way :)

I think the same way :)

Just popping by to say hi to everyone but I went to my timeline, looked at the estimated date for adjudication and made myself sad

I was at March 24 - March 27 and now I'm at April 1, 2018 and April 4, 2018...

*sigh* It's going to be Xmas soon. I wish everyone all the best. (F)

What to do after NOA2:

Spoiler

After USCIS approves the petition, it is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign you a case number and send your petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiancé(e) lives.

The NVC will mail/email you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.

Here's an update of the average processing time of all cases received every considered day and approved within the next 182 days, as to 12/08/17.

Since the average time has been so high from mid-May up to June and (for now) only 182 days can be considered (from 06/09 to 12/08), you can expect slightly higher times in this period.

I'll try to update in 7-10 days to see how it is evolving but, as you can already see, the tendency doesn't look very good. Sorry guys.

Yo soy de Puerto Rico y mi prometido es de Cuba. La embajada en Havana no está operando así que una vez lleguemos al proceso de la entrevista nos va a tocar ir a Bogotá a finalizar. Bienvenida!!!

Hi everyone! It is also my first time posting here. I wanna also share our waiting game. 😂😂 My fiancee sent the petition last Oct. 17, 2017 in Dallas, TX lockbox and he received our NOA1 last Oct. 20, 2017.. It's been 53 days as of this writing. Hopefully everything will be more faster because the last time I checked, receiving NOA2 for June filers are currently happening. I’m so worried about the timeframe because when my fiancee filed the petition, our estimated approval is January next year and that’s why we booked the venue for our engagement party here in my country on April next year and planned to get married on July next year. I’m still praying for faster processing times. **cross fingers

First of all welcome!

And congratulations on your engagement :)

I'm guessing you already know about this as you said you guys planned your engagement based on January timeline and now it looks like it's barely an April approval.

please read through this forum before deciding on the engagement party :)

there are people who gets denied because embassy sees these parties as marriage and judges it as if you were married.

this is the last time it was discussed in September and you can also find bunch of links about this in the page 43:

Didn't know, but she is new and said she is an October filer and can't wait to learn about the process and experiences. If I translate what I say, would it be OK? It sucks not to get answers because of a language barrier.
