I got my NOA1 today and it is dated October 31st so I guess that makes me officially an October filer. Wooo hooo!!

Interesting. I agree it definitely feels better to know the reason behind the lag, and especially when the reason is because they’re trying to help other people who are experiencing a crisis in their home country.

Hi all,

Just confirming that people are using the "notice date" for their NOA1? Because when I check my case status online through USCIS, it states that the received date was 10/30 and says nothing about the 11/1 "notice date". Thoughts?

Well I used the date that my fiance got the text/email notification  (10/6) instead of the received date (10/3) since it's technically the first day for notice of acceptance. They might have received it on the 10/30 but it had to be processed to see if it passed entry level validity which took until 11/1.

For Vj community and the algorithms  they use everyone mostly use the date the uscis recieved it, my recieved date was 5/5 and when i input my noa2 notice oct 10th approval it showed 158 days.

There was also a later TPS extension priority in September. I'm sure that also affected their workload
