I don't think that's a case number which is why.  Try WAC1890008216, and change the number of cases from 0 to a number up to 500 and it will start scanning.

So how do I get my case number? I thought it was my receipt number.

Does anyone have an idea of how long Employment Authorization takes? Or what one should do if a job wants to hire but Adjustment of Status has already taken place? Can the job expedite the authorization or can they file their own work permit for beneficiary?

and congrats to everyone! I think my date got pushed from the 16th to the 13th as received :\ dunno how i should feel about that.

I think I've read about the Employment Authorization taking about 3 months. You can file for EAD and AOS together or decide to file EAD separately.

I don't think any job can expedite for work permit for Beneficiary.

EAD is taking about 3-5 months I think at the moment. (Everything is being so darn delayed these days )

I heard a while ago that if you have a job offer on the table, it might help speed up the process. But I doubt they will care because technically, on a K-1, the point isn't to work right away so you shouldn't really be applying for jobs until the AOS is done, unless that's a job that's carrying over from current positions.

yea but what if the beneficiary wants to work right away lol... especially when they qualify for so many jobs... i told him to apply anyway.. just didnt know if they should put down that they dont need sponsorship? Like we are putting in AOS right away... just tired of waiting for everything...

I created the new account. The date changed to October 4th from October 2nd (which from reading on here is normal). And no case change yet. Thanks for the link though :)

Yeah, you have to submit it right away, probably soon after you do the court wedding. That way your significant other can be up and running in about 6 months. you dont want them sitting at home too long. things are hard in the country like in Nigeria, they need to see it for themselves. Hahaha. (Sorry for the humor on a serious matter)

Unfortunately, NOT working right away is one of the downsides to applying for K1 vs getting married and applying for CR1. Beneficiary simply CANT work until EAD/AOS no matter how might they might want to or how qualified they are.
