What to do after NOA2:

Spoiler

After USCIS approves the petition, it is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign you a case number and send your petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiancé(e) lives.

The NVC will mail/email you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.

I am not so sure. It's more interactive but now instead of what date they are processing it suggests what date people can inquire. That might be really helpful. But I would also like to know their estimated date for processing cases

I don't think they will ever post that on a day to day basis. Each case is treated differently has a different processing time. Seeing the case inquiry date makes things smoother to allow persons to know that they are definitely outside of the normal processing time. If you are not outside of their normal processing time based on that then an inquiry will be useful. This is just my assumption but also seeing the case inquiry date seems like a baseline that they are processing case for that date and afterwards.

Another useful update on their site is that you now see a more realistic estimated time range for each visa so persons can be realistic to not expect that the visa must be ready by 6 months or something is wrong.

I agree with everything you said. it's also comforting knowing an estimated date for the month they were processing.

I am so anxious because we are so close to uscis starting to process October cases

Ancious indeed  but i have one question according to the photos we wnt to use as proof that we have physicaly met with our loved ones

so do we realy have to write at the back of the pictures? i'm reading that on some forums and websites. if yes  what information  do we need to mention there and can we use sharpie, pen or pencils

Looking back, September NOA2s started dripping in around the first of March, so it's only been 3 weeks, and we've seen our estimation dates move up considerably as well. The Berries did work their way through 120+ pages of posts over the course of March, maybe that makes it all feel slower somehow?

To keep things cheerful my financé and I placed bets for our NOA2 date during my last visit. Surprised to see we're still very optimistic! He's betting 177 days, I'm betting 184. Not a big difference, but whoever is closest is treated to a fancy NYC cocktail night. Still, would not be mad if he won :D

I also did the betting thing with my fiance but we haven't decided what the prize is for winner.

I actually had no idea that we had to do that. When I initially sent it in, I just labeled the dates on each photo. I am meeting my lawyer to put together documents to send to my fiance in preparation for his interview. I 'll ask her unless ofcourse some one might be able to answer this question for both of us.

I know... But I really think that we are super close to the day we say "yes I do". We decided not to make plans and just have a lil private wedding just because we don't want to be disappointed at changing plans. Later, maybe next year,we will throw a big party with family and friends. I guess that's what depending on bureaucracy brings.... Chin up! We are almost there!!!
