Thank you! That's all I was trying to say. I just don't want people who may have had a bit larger petition get discouraged just based on what one persons opinion was. :)

you’re welcome 😊

i personally dont think it's someone's benefit to be rude we just need to take things easy and guide our mind peacefully on the information we need. of course this seems to be strange for prople to not know about that letter to explain how to meet. we my fiancee an i have put our pettition together without any lawyer but in the instructions that we print out, they say that at some point i mean something about how and when you met.

Brittani isn't rude - trust me. She's harsh, but honest, and she's pretty soft in comparison to a lot of others around here, myself included.

Yes, you have to fill out the letter of how you've met. However, front loading and including pictures of engagement rings/engagement ceremonies/etc can often result in diminished effects. LOL

Mine was probably 30 or so pages but I'm more referring to these ones you see that are hundreds of pages. If you are sending proof you met in person then you are doing what they want and that makes sense.

Yeah like there was no way to make mine short at all. We've visited each other like 8 times.

I remember, when filing our packet, I wanted to put our receipt for the London Eye in there. I was like, "We have a picture of me crying on it! They need to know the date and that we were THERE".

Seven months later, I'm like, "Why did I worry so much?"

friends i think being waiting for long month away from your other half can get us to the point where you seems to be nervous by hearing that something that you have done or not is suspicious in your petition. it's already hard to wait but cross finger for the best

Jaquelly try to not be rude :D

either 10 or 1000 pages of petition,  everyone has to wait for their turn to have their papers get reviewed so everyone deserves that time when it is their turn already. whether it’ll take longer or not, they waited for it. If it’s not our turn yet then lets just keep waiting patiently. If we get frustrated, its not other’s fault. 😊

Did I start this again???  People are way to focused on the process.  Everybody please relax.  We have seen too many couples break up because of this process.  There is no right or wrong if you are approved.  Information is based on the words of a former adjudicator and experienced people here.  You are focusing on the wrong thing.  This entire process $ucks.  It will drain the life from a relationship.  Focus on your loved ones.

It was a person who was paid to review those petitions who told us that too much front loading is looked down upon.  We all have opinions but he actually had that job.  Can we move on now.

oh yes we can

there are thousand of important topic to dicuss

You are a Jedi master John, if anyone should be ripe with anger it is you but you seem cool as a cucumber. I'm right there with you regardless if we get approved tomorrow or in six months that will be the first day of the rest of our lives and this will be a distant memory.

We just had a Junebug who had his first breakfast in the states with his true love.  That is what we need to focus on.  They had a long journey but they made it to POE.  That is where my heart focuses.  There is an end to this.  It is going to be amazing.

Exactly.  Let us focus on the paperwork needed for the interview!  That is more important.

It seems as though the conversation had dried up a little until I asked my questions.  Then all of these other folks wanted to start getting touchy about everything.  I regret asking anything.  Lynn and I will figure it out on our own and we're very sorry for any grief caused by our questions.  Good luck to all.

:( Not at all, please feel free to ask your questions. Even if it's not here VJ is a good forum for getting advice. We're all just very sick and tired of all the waiting so misunderstandings do happen from time to time. Also we're not too much posting here because we're all stalking the earlier months before us to see how far they are with their approvals :content:

Spoiler

After USCIS approves the petition, it is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign you a case number and send your petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiancé(e) lives.

The NVC will mail/email you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.
