hey guys, affidavit of support question! is the yearly income before or after taxes?  I was looking on the federal income requirements today, and seems like i might actually make the requirement without a cosponsor! any idea of hourly pay that would meet the requirements? i dont have a salary.  love to you all today! its getting closer every day!

Before taxes.

Hello everyone, October 16th filer here!! Just wondering if anyone has received NOA2... all my papers go directly to my attorneys office ugh.... good luck to everyone they will all be here soon!!🍀🍀🍀

It is unlikely that anyone here has their NOA2. June/July are still being approved, with a trickle of August. Your time will come.

It would be good if you filled out your VJ timeline that way you have an estimation of when you'll be approved. Do you know your WAC number? If you do, you can check your own case status without your lawyer.

Hello Jaqueline, I do have my WAC # I just was wondering thinking there could be a slight chance of maybe someone being approved.... my papers where suppose to be sent wayyy before around the beginning of September but a hurricane hit us and caused lots of stress... plus going back and forth to my lawyers office really ate at least 2 months of my time. Thank you for the great info.!

If you follow @Naes, she posts a lot of helpful information, including charts. Her most recent one is here -

I know it seems like it's forever away, but you're in a good place - everyone here is either going through or has gone through that wait. :)

Hi, September filer but chiming in here as I'm Scandinavian - my fiancé and I have been asking ourselves the exact same thing, as we were planning to marry in May and there's still a slight chance we'll be able to do so. As far as I've understood, everything is done in one go when it comes to the medical stuff. You have the medical, do all the tests you need to do, go through all vaccinations (and get the ones you don't have, I'll be getting the tetanus shot I'm pretty sure), and then the doctor refer you to the X-ray place and you get the X-ray done just after the medical. At least that's what I've heard for the medical in Stockholm. So just get the quickest medical appointment you can once you have your case number, and that should do it.

As for other things you can do: beneficiary can start filling in the DS-160, as apparently it asks some pretty time consuming questions depending on their background, petitioner should be ready to mail all docs that need wet signature (I-134, updated letter of intent, employer's statement - but of course they shouldn't be signed too early either), have your updated proof of a relationship organized, things like that. Six weeks is tight though, I believe the average time between consulate received and interview lately is 50 days (so not even counting USCIS to NVC, NVC to consulate, and processing time after interview). But that is also the one stat you do have some influence on, given that there's any availability in interview appointments near in time - so I'm not sure, it might be doable. In our case, we have not tied up any money on a specific wedding date, just to be safe :) Best of luck! And don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions later on, I see our timelines are just one month apart. :D

Good to see another that will be going through Stockholm! I’m wondering, why do your proof of relationship and letter of intent need to be updated? Does that just involve including some more letters or pictures as proof and signing the intent letter more recently? Also I am a full time student so basically my only income is student loans. That means I will need to have another financial sponsor right? Can’t remember exactly what that’s called...just want to start preparing!

Hej hej, Scandinavian here too! My fiance is from Denmark :) Looks like Stockholm is a great embassy to go through for this process.  Awesome to see a few Scandinavians here! Maybe we'll all meet up at the embassy by some chance :D

I hope everyone has been having a good week so far!  It feels easier to be excited now that we are getting within 2-3 months of estimated approval time!  Its gonna be so worth this nasty wait when its all over.  Love to all you October filers today! Hang in there!

Well, I can't believe my eyes.. The Embassy is Moscow has had their Interview wait times extended out as long as 2 months and a 56 day minimum, I just checked this 2 weeks ago by the way.. Apparently, that is a thing of the past! The NEW wait time for the Interview is 18 Days!! Wow.. And, with the processing times of the Visas speeding up hopefully us October Filers will get ours Visas approved in April!

@Naes I know we don't have approvals for October yet, but I was wondering if you had a daily colored bar graph for October so we can start getting some idea of how each day is stacking up in terms of applications received by USCIS.
