This!

My personal timeline went crazy between August and January of this year. It's going to move around. Don't you worry about that. Just keep up with what's happening with other months and you'll have a more informed idea of what's being processed. :)

Thank you!! Ah this is so difficult for a type A to deal with- so many unknowns and guestimates. It's much easier for my easy going, wonderfully calm fiance.  I really appreciate any and all feedback and tips from all of you. It's invaluable to be part of this community where there are no dumb questions.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend !!

I just want to vent on here for a minute because I know you all understand the pain. Most of you on this thread knows about my fiance getting stopped in Orlando and detained and they told him they were close to sending him back because apparently he was in the US last year more than 6 months out of the year. They told me 7 to be exact so shortly after it happened I pulled his i94 up just to see and he was actually here 158 days last year (not consecutively just total, never over staying 90 days at a time). That's actually less than 6 months considering 180 days is roughly 6. That officer claimed he put it on his record as a warning and not to come back until the K1 is in his hand but I don't understand how they could do this to him. His parents have already paid for tickets to come over the first 2 weeks in May and he was going to accompany them as well now he can't and I very highly doubt he will have his K1 by then unless by some miracle we get our NO2 this week or next (trust me I'm not banking on that by no means). He obviously isn't going to come because we don't want to jeopardize our future together. We get the bigger picture and don't plan on throwing it all away for the sake of  2 weeks. I'm just frustrated, angry, and hurt all rolled into one. I wouldn't be any of that IF what that officer said was true but it was all lies and I just don't understand why he was treated this way.

Welcome ernestadkins! What kind of insight would you like? Do you have any specific questions? Yes they are currently processing August cases at the moment. There are quite a few August  filers who have received their NOA2.

I completed the profile.  I did select K1 but it's far from approved.

I'd like to know what all we should expect and when.  We submitted EVERYTHING we could think of. We took pictures of the ring, the receipt for the ring, notarized witness statements, notarized statements from each of us and a joint statement of our intent to marry, receipts and photographs proving our meeting, and numerous other documents.  All in all, I believe our package was about 73 pages, most being supporting documents and proof.

Now what???

All I can say is to stay focused on the love.  This journey is difficult at times.  Honestly, there are still a few May filers, a few thousand June, July and August filers waiting.  There have also been approvals for November filers.  It's best not to try to figure this out.  Just stay focused on the love and not the process.

Rose and I are at day 258 today with no RFE or even confirmation that out petition hasn't been lost.  There seem to be certain dates that are more challenged than others.  There are still 65 June 6 virgins (per not very accurate online updates) but we know the longest wait here is currently Trinab80 who are on day 272 with no updates.  Your time will probably be much quicker but relax just in case.

Submitting that much info may work against you.  Be careful when it comes to the interview.

Now you wait ;) That's all we can do at this point. Look out for updates periodically as well. The USCIS is notorious for approving petitions without updating the case on the website. I think your NOA2 date is going to be in May though unfortunately. I hope I'm wrong and it's earlier tho!

@John & Rose, do you have input on anything that might be needed on the beneficiary's side while they are waiting? I'm not too sure about Philippines requirements and such (if they are different which I think they are).

We were actually thinking we would receive the NOA2 sometime late March to mid April.  We hope you're wrong too, lol.

I'm not sure what John & Rose are talking about.  Can you add some clarity for us?

I don’t know if someone asked this before but i am a little confused aboud the affidavit of support (form I-134). The petitioner will fill it up and then separately file it to the USCIS and wait for approval too?

From the way I understand it, the beneficiary will take it, along with the last two years of the US citizen's tax returns, and additional proof of the relationship.  That's after they get their NBI clearances, health inspection, and paid their fees.

Am I right???

Do we need to do anything when the package goes to NVC???
