Hola!

Yo soy de Puerto Rico y mi prometido es de Cuba. La embajada en Havana no está operando así que una vez lleguemos al proceso de la entrevista nos va a tocar ir a Bogotá a finalizar. Bienvenida!!!

Hey guys!

i hate being the one to say this...

this is the international part of the forum so English is the main language :) so we all can understand.

but there's a regional part for all languages  ! :)

sorry... it's really not fun saying this for me either..

Hi everyone! It is also my first time posting here. I wanna also share our waiting game. 😂😂 My fiancee sent the petition last Oct. 17, 2017 in Dallas, TX lockbox and he received our NOA1 last Oct. 20, 2017.. It's been 53 days as of this writing. Hopefully everything will be more faster because the last time I checked, receiving NOA2 for June filers are currently happening. I’m so worried about the timeframe because when my fiancee filed the petition, our estimated approval is January next year and that’s why we booked the venue for our engagement party here in my country on April next year and planned to get married on July next year. I’m still praying for faster processing times. **cross fingers

First of all welcome!

And congratulations on your engagement :)

I'm guessing you already know about this as you said you guys planned your engagement based on January timeline and now it looks like it's barely an April approval.

please read through this forum before deciding on the engagement party :)

there are people who gets denied because embassy sees these parties as marriage and judges it as if you were married.

this is the last time it was discussed in September and you can also find bunch of links about this in the page 43:

Didn't know, but she is new and said she is an October filer and can't wait to learn about the process and experiences. If I translate what I say, would it be OK? It sucks not to get answers because of a language barrier.

I would recommend direct messaging or regional forums both.

i mean it is not about what I think really it's about the forum rules. If everybody talked in different languages here we would have chaos.

Sudden realisation that even if our current estimated approval is April 2018, we may not get to fly out until July? Because of the 6 week+ wait for NVC number.... then booking medical & interview... upsetting :(

I truly hope that things will go back to normal. we want to move in the summer break, using those months to settle since I have two children.  But here in Germany the summer break ends on August 6...

Hey guys,

We were planning on getting married in July and we thought it should be possible, now we are not that sure anymore lol. Let's hope for the best so my Dutch friends can come over for the wedding, because it's their summer break in July.

Well i don't have much to complain, i saw my fiance 3 weeks ago in Holland, and i am going to the US coming Wednesday for 17 days to spend christmas over there. I also booked a ticket for February and she is coming by the end of March. I know there are people that don't see each other for months:(

Hang in there, we will all be united with our loved ones next year!

at this point after reading those posts from June filer, I stopped making plan and I stop stressing myself. It's sad but true that our future and our plans depend on USCIS decision. there is really nothing we can do instead being positive and hanging there.

May the force be with us !
