Based on my case, I'm sure that the address change will have a negative impact in terms of processing time with USCIS.

I applied on October 2017, and then I had to change my address in April 2018, where the FO is a little bit faster, but from that time I've never heard back from them. After calling USCIS many times they assure that my address change doesn't affect the case processing time and my case is within the normal processing time (in line for interview util the new FO have any available slot to schedule my interview).

The fact is both FO's are scheduling interviews currently for the filers of three months after me, and I don't know why my file is being in hold.

Whta is FO? 

I think it normal to see other filers who are applied after you and they are already got their interview schedualed, this is very common.

Only if you move to a different Field Office jurisdiction which will require that your case be transferred to a new office and may result in a 3 month delay in order to establish residence in that area.  If you're just moving to a new house within the same city it shouldn't impact the timing, but make sure you file the address change form and take your lease/mortgage document to the interview as the case officer will need to verify any address at which you have lived for less than 12 months.

It's my friend house and there is no lease or mortgage, I am just a roommate!! Are you sure the officer will going to ask me for something like that?

There are no guarantees with any citizenship interview as each one is different, but I was asked for the mortgage documents for our new house and the CO told me he needed them because we had lived there for less than 12 months.  My approach was to be as prepared as possible as my goal was to be approved on the spot vs having to deal with an RFE which can delay things so I had back-up evidence with me even though I was filing under the 5 year rule vs through marriage.

07/25/2018 I’m now an American Citizen. 

 

Had my interview yesterday in Seattle, WA 07/24/2018. Briefly ask about personal things because I still have pending ROC. English test 

was to write “ George Washington was the Father of our country.” 

Civic test for me was the following questions. 

1. The House of Representatives has how many voting members?
2. We elect house of representative for how many years? 
3. Who is the Chief Justice ?
4.We elect President in what month? 
5. Name one war fought by the United States in 1900s?
6. Who is the father of our country?

 

The Officer said I couldn’t take the oath ceremony the same day because I still have pending removal of conditions and can’t do the same day because she needs to approve it first. But she said I passed the naturalization test and approved for oath taking either tomorrow or I have to wait for the mail. I chose to take oath today. 

Unfortunately, when I went to my oath ceremony the officers couldn’t my name. I have to wait for more than 20 minutes because they verify my records. The oath ceremony took a few minutes late because I think the officer yesterday forgot to approve us. (There’s another person who has the same case with me and got the same interview officer yesterday.) we were both nervous and frustrated because of what happened. Good thing we we’re able to join the ceremony and got the naturalization certificate. 

During the ceremony, I received a lot of email notice of approval and schedule of oath ceremony.

Congrats! I’m also a December 2017 Seattle filer with pending I-751 as well. Noticed some October peeps like you and a handful of Seattle filers have had interviews and it took you guys roughly 8months. Hopefully I get one next month. Was the other person you met yesterday also an October filer too? Did you also take your spouse? What personal things were asked? Looks like your interview was so straightforward and quick.

Shouldn't be an issue. I moved out of state after filing my application and my case got processed in line with my local FO's timeline. Just make sure to update your address and if you want peace of mind, go to an infopass appointment to make sure their system shows the right address.

I already did by the phone and they confirmed that it has been changed.

Are they going to send me a letter by mail to confirm that they changed the addrees upon my request??

So I got notification by text on 7/19 that my interview has been scheduled and I followed up with Tier 2 to confirm that the interview date is August 28. 
However, a week later I have still not received the interview letter in the mail. 

Should I be worried?
