Legend: 
GC-Date: The 'Resident Since' Date located on your first green card.
Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
Fprints:  Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.

Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview.

I just received an email that I have been scheduled for an interview. Not sure of the interview date yet as there's no update yet on my online account nor has the interview letter arrived yet. I'll update the chart when I get the details.

Sorry about the posts, I tried updating the chart with my interview letter received date and interview date but it would not let me 😞

Had my interview Yesterday! All that panic for nothing 😁

As you know they ask you 10 questions and you need to get 6 correct. I got the first 6 correct so he stopped asking. He took finger prints and pic again. Ask me to read a sentence and write it down also. Quickly went through my form and basically that was it. He was friendly, on to my Oath soon. If you have any questions I would be pleased to help ❤

Let me ask you something, which questions of the N400 did you guys go through? All of them? do you remember which ones?

Mainly the criminal section, parking tickets and so on. I didn't have any ofcourse. He just checked that everything was in order and we talked about things in general,  he was very nice and professional.

Question: Can I travel outside of USA while I am awaiting the letter for my citizenship interview? How long can I stay away from USA? Will this "away" time be considered during my citizenship interview? While I am out of USA, if I receive interview letter, can I reschedule the interview?

Hi There,

 

Of course, you can travel, and they will ask you during the interview if any travel outside occurred during your waiting time. As well as if you received your letter and decided to reschedule is up to you. However, make sure to be attached to the law according to the absence time.

Thank you to who updated my interview date on the timeline! 

 

Did anyone here not register for selective service and have/had their interview? That’s the only thing that’s worrying me, I didn’t register because I had no idea it existed till I applied for college and I was already 26.

 

If anyone can give me any help or insight on this I would really appreciate it.

I was on the same boat until I made the call to the SS office. I called them to see how I could get hold of the "Status Information Letter". The call was very surprising because I discovered I was already in the system, they just didn't have my Social Security number; hence I could not find myself in the online tool. I still don't remember when I had applied, but apparently I was in the system. They verified all my info and asked me my Social Security to add and I was finally able to verify online. Try it! Ask them that you may be in the system but may not have your social security number on file.
