closed your account??? did you enter your password incorrectly several times? that's weird...

Yeah theres no such thing as account closed unless you tried to login into your uscis account with the wrong password a couple of times.

As for the waiting in line, my case has been in line for an interview since November 9, I don’t think that we should be concerned, some people wait months for an interview.

I have a question to ask for the VJ folks here, and hope for an intelligent answer.

I called the customer service at USCIS this morning about when I should expect my interview. I was baffled when they said the Dallas service center is processing cases from Sep 2016. That is at least a year away! And yet, I get notified every day that folks here are getting their interview scheduled when we all submitted our cases the same month. I know your interview dates can vary case by case, but whey this discrepancy in the timeline? What should I have done differently?

I can't help being envious of y'all who have gotten their interview notice, or at least in line.

Sorry for the rant.

That will depend of the field office and the workload, please note that this administration is focused on deeper investigations, even so every case is different. It coult take between 3 months to 12 months.

I understand everyone’s frustrations, yes this is correct. I’m assuming because the country I came from is currently on the ban list, so it’s going to longer for ppl like me to get an interview date. We just have to be patient. Good luck everyone

Now I have a better understand why Newark, NJ and Mt. Laurel, NJ N-400 cases take longer than others field offices. They have a lot of cases pending to process...

Approved for citizenship today. Same day oath ceremony was nice, 7 hours of waiting wasn't. My interview was only 15 mins and the interviewer was very direct but professional. No pleasantries were exchanged but they were incredibly busy so I can understand the need to get through all the applicants. My interview was at 8:15am in Newark, I didn't need to submit any additional support or passport photos, just presented my greencard, passport and drivers license. Test consisted of:

1. Which group were brought to the US as slaves?
2. Who is the VP?
3 Number of amendments to the Constitution?
4. Who creates laws?
5. Why did we fight the British?
6. What is the highest court?

Read: What was the first state?
Write: Delaware was the first state.

Asked yes/no questions and signed forms on an iPad.

The ceremony was very nice, introduction from the USCIS staff, stood for the national anthem, then we watched a video, called out each country and applicants from that country stood up (38 total in my ceremony), said the oath of allegiance (right hand in the air), welcome video from the President, said the pledge of allegiance (right hand over heart), concluded and took photos. Overall, an exhausting day but well worth it and very special. Thank you to everyone here at VJ and all the best with your immigration journeys..I'm done!
