Travel after interview?

Hello amazing people!

So I know that this was briefly address in other posts (that I can't seem to localize anymore...so I apologies if it is redundant) - if anyone has some input it would be appreciated.

As we get closer to our interview date I have some timelines conflicts and I am not certain what is the best way to go around it...

I am assuming that my interview date will be sometimes early Nov... hence normally I would obtain the K-1 visa at the same time. The issue I have is that I have a work commitment that requires me to travel for business end Nov/early Dec to the USA. I am not able to "move in" to USA on the same trip as I need to come back and take my belongings. What should I do?

1) try to get the interview after the business trip?

2) can I ask the embassy to leave me my passport until early Dec or to obtain authorization to travel for business and make K-1 Visa effective after that? Is that even possible?

I hope all I wrote is easy to understand... what are your thoughts or suggestions on this? Should I call the Visa center (or embassy) and discuss options before booking my interview?

Help!

I would suggest to try and schedule your interview as late as possible in this case, for after your trip.

I agree. If you are approved they will put your k1 visa into your passport and it's a single use visa.  So do your work travel first then attend interview.
