Dear all,

I plan on applying to the DV-2019. I'm not that experienced, so I've been reading about the subject.

I'm confused as to how I should write my name. I am Egyptian and it is typical to write 5 names. My name then my father's name, my grandfather's name, then great grandfather's name and my family name. So, I'm not sure should I skip writing my father's, grandfather's and great grandfather's name? or would they be considered my middle name?

So I hope to provide me assistance regarding my inquiry.

In the absence of another Egyptian answering here - may I suggest you find an Egyptian DV forum (I believe there are a couple of active ones) as this has been a common question and they will be able to give a proper answer. I believe I have seen before that people use the father and grandfather names as middle names, but I'm not an expert and suggest you confirm with fellow Egyptians.

remember the names need to match up with those in your passport.

good luck with your entry!
