We filed ROC September 16th, 2017, and still are yet to receive the biometrics appointment letter. We've read where it can take up to 30 days to receive, but we're also getting a little nervous because We've also read where people have been denied due to not showing up for their appointments.

We just wanted to get a feel for how many people have filed this year and had to wait a month or more before getting their appointment letter. Trying to determine if we should just wait, or start trying to contact USCIS. Also, does it have to be the petitioner(LPR) or can the USC spouse call?

thanks!

I had this problem, tried to get them to do a service request and they kept telling me I was within processing time so can’t do a service request. Gave up on the misinformation line and filed a service request for didn’t  receive notice here - https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do;jsessionid=abcbHMBAFC_S5eVnRLI7v?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndn

and got my service request answer along with my biometrics letter a week or two later.

Were you at 30+ days when you did the online service request? It won't let me do the service request as it hasn't been 30 days.

I think so I was at 30 days past my noa1 date and everyone else who applied at the same time had already done their biometrics.

We were also waiting for a biometrics appt notice, after 11 weeks I called uscis and inquired about it and the service rep there said he would give my inquiry to a response officer . After a week they sent a I-797C that stated they are using the previously captured fingerprints and information for the biometrics data. It will not be necessary to appear at a USCIS Application center for an appt. The biometrics fee will not be refunded . They are continuing to process our application and will contact in writing for any additional information needed. Soooo.. they don’t notify you of this , it’s up to you to inquire about it with them so you are not unnecessarily waiting for an appt letter. 5-8 weeks is normal time if they are going to send a biometrics appt. notice , after that time has passed, call their 800 customer service number to verify . Hope we helped someone with this information .

Hi, I know it’s been long time ago. But was you case approved? If yes, how long did it take and did you have biometrics or they really were able to use the previous ones? Thank you in advance for the answer
