I am a U.S. citizen petitioning the I-130  for my husband and got approved just recently. I now have a Case number from the NVC. Furthermore, my problem is that I am temporary living abroad in Saudi Arabia with my husband and I am 20 years old but, I can't show any income for the Affidavit of Support because I have no job and neither did I while living in the states in high school. My husband is only employed with a salary. How can we prove that we will be financially stable in the states for the Affidavit of Support?

- He has house property that we can show as an asset

- Money in US bank account ( How much is needed?)

Any Help with be greatly appreciated!!

Can I also show my assets to help show that I will be financially stable while I live in the states?

Will I need 1 joint sponsor or 2 if my household includes 1 infant and 2 adults?

Also, will it help if my husband shows his income from his job in Saudi Arabia?

If you do a search for "assets" and "I-134" it brings up many articles on VJ. Generally it seems that you need about 3 times as much value in assets as you do in income to count the assets only. If your husband (or someone else) had a substantial amount of money that was suddenly deposited into your account I think that it would look suspicious.

It seems odd, I know, that even if your overseas spouse made a million $$ a year you would still need a joint sponsor for them, but that's the way things just are unfortunately.
