The solution to any problem is rarely going to be the diametric opposite.

If you're too hot, the answer isn't to put out the sun. The logical thing would be to look at ways to cool things off a bit.

Bravo....you nailed it.

You can ban every assault weapon in America, close the private seller loophole and make psychiatric records part of back ground checks and it will not even be a speed bump in the gun violence epidemic

So what is the Answer, ban all guns

I never suggested nor implied that. Typical response from the far right though, so not one bit surprised.

Yes solution needs to be multifaceted.

So, we just let these things happen and come to terms there is nothing to do? What do you propose should be done?

Those are already in place, right?  What would you change about them, exactly?

You dont need a background check for Private transfers which account for a very small percentage of gun show sales. I am all for closing that loop hole, but its a feel good measure and nothing more.

In 2016, there were 31 dog bite related fatalities in the US. 22 of them were by pit bulls. Solution to problem? Ban poodles.

Yes that makes about as much sense as banning assault rifles

I think the best solution would be a ban on irresponsible dog owners but that's not very feasible.

Private gun sales at a gun show?  Pretty sure that is against the law already.
