Hi, I'm trying to see how to register to vote on line after i got my citizenship lastly, i didn't register at my ceremony day. so i went to California voter registration website and i think i should answer a few personal questions on line to register to vote in California, one of the questions i do not know how to answer, here is the question: Do you want to disclose a political party preference? yes .../no....
(If you select no, you may not be able to vote for some parties candidates at a primary election for the U.S. president or party committee.)
Do you think am at the correct website/ link to register on line?

Thank you.

I do not know if you are at the right website or not. The address should probably end with .ca.gov

My understanding is that generally, to vote in the primary election of a political party (for the purpose of selecting the candidate who will become that party's candidate in general election), you have to declare your political party affiliation, if any.  If you have no political party affiliation or if you do not disclose your affiliation, you will be able to vote in the general election, but not in a political party's primary election.
