03/13/17 --- NVC sent to Consulate ~ 03/17/17--- Consulate Received ~ 05/02/17--- Interview APPROVED! Woo-Hoo!!! :D

05/08/17--- Visa received ~ 06/08/17--- POE Fort Lauderdale ~ 08/05/17--- Got married.  (L)(L)

10/03/17--- Sent AOS package (I-485, I-765, I-131)

10/04/17--- Delivered.

10/10/17--- Email and text notification of receipt

10/14/17--- NOA 1 hard copy received for all 3 petitions

10/17/17 -- Received letter for biometrics

11/02/17--- Biometrics

11/09/17--- Case is ready to be scheduled for interview

12/12/17--- I-765 & I-131 Approval Notice received :D

01/11/18 --- Notice of interview scheduled

02/12/18--- AOS Interview

02/12/18 --- Interview Approved!!! :D:dance:

02/15/18 --- Residence card mailed

02/15/18 --- Residence card received!!! Woo-Hoo!!! :D:dancing:

12/01/2017 - Card in Production
12/05/2017 - Received Approval Notice in the Mail

2/21/18  ---  Approved on the Spot

Yeah i agree with this but it is so easy to forget and so easy to be stressed while in the middle of waiting. I mean, if there was a definitive date even if it takes months longer than what it is now, but you know for certain that on x date you are getting it no matter what, that would be so much better than waiting but guessing everyday if today is the day!

Yeah, especially they might send you a letter saying:

 

We sent you an RFE or interview notice or whatever and you never responded. So now are are denied!

 

when you did NOT receive such a thing!

hey @JoJoJoJo what kind of industry are you in? It's great you already have a job lined up! I didn't start looking while waiting for the EAD because i did not want to keep any employer waiting and now I am stressed looking for a job. I don't have have an absolute urgent need for a job right this moment but i feel like since I have my ead that I should be working and contributing to the household already. Meh, you win some, you lose some. =(

Thanks @doggieandsam! I am a Data Scientist, and I applied for like 100 jobs. I wrote in my resume right below my name that I am waiting for my EAD. If anyone is interested in having an interview with me, it is up to the employers.

 

@doggieandsam, what industry are you in? Good luck with the job hunting :) :) :)

oh cool! i am in corporate communications and there are LOT of vacancies where i am but half of them are clearance jobs so US citizens only. i have applied to 120+ as of today and have had a few initial and second interviews but so far none have gone on to offer stage yet. i've also been just looking for 4 weeks but who's counting, right!? :jest:
