Not for me. My EAD receipt still isn't even registering in the tracker, so I'm just hoping the approval letter magically shows up in the next week. We shall see.

I went to the infopass today because I still don't have EAD card after approval (12/7/2017).

The lady told me that the card or something was caught in the printer, so it was never produced. I called USCIS 4 times before I tried infopass and nobody was helpful. BUT the lady there emailed NBC directly about my situation. and she told me it might 3-5 days to produce the card, and 7-10 days to ship. so just come back if I don't get it in 2 days. she said I might have to come back for biometric bc it's possible my biometric information can be gone. Idk how their system works, but i hope I can just get the card since my school will starts soon and I can't make time to go back to the office for biometrics.

at least you got an answer finally. fingers crossed your EAD finally shows up in the next days!

Mine works fine- it just says that they have received the form and they have sent me a receipt notice with detailed instructions. I am remembering that there have been a bunch of holidays during our processing window (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, etc.) so maybe that's why the backlog.

 

My husband is so ready to work- it would be a major blessing for him and just for us financially if that work permit would show up! We had a major water leak issue this last week, and our water and gas bills alone are going to be $1,000.00+. It would be so nice not to be relying so much on savings and to be able to be putting money away again rather than it all flying out the door.

True.  I hope you do get yours soon.  Its so impossible to preconceive when to expect EAD approval and Interview.  I've looked at timelines here in VJ and I can't even guess when to expect it. It comes when it comes

Received date is October 24th for my wife. Status is still "Case Was Received" in the tracker and nothing in the mail yet.

Does anyone know if they get their EAD and AP faster when you adjust from K1? I came on F1, and are now adjusting my status due to marriage to a U.S. citizen.

it shouldn't matter which visa you are adjusting from.  I think what matters is how fast you are cleared with your background check  I got my EAD within 3 weeks after my biometrics without expedite. I adjusted from B2.

But really, who knows how they do it.

hey did you use the new i765 form? did you have SSN number before? if not did you receive SSN card as well? Its been 1 month since my approval from EAD but I havent received anything from SSA

i do have an ssn number already. yes, i used the new i-765 but on it i asked to get mailed a new ssn card with my married name on it. i haven't received the new ssn card yet though but its only been a few days. i have seen maybe two people here who got their ssn shortly after they received their combo cards so i will give it two weeks more. if i don't receive mine after that time, then i'll go to the ssn office.

Florida gives AOS interviews very quickly. In recent past i saw some people filing there get their gcs within a 4 month timeframe. so that is one good thing going for you.

Thats what im planning. Just apply in person. Calling hasn't been helpful at all. If I call USCIS, they tell me to call SSA.. if I call SSA, they tell me to call USCIS haha..

 

I'm adjusting from B2.. Really? Maybe other areas in florida. in Orlando, there seems to be a huge delay because I've looked at VJ timelines from Orlando, there are several still waiting for interview as far as Feb  2017 filers Although there are a  who had a fast turnover.
