Hi, I have the same case) but why didn't you start the process soon after the marriage?

I was going to petition my husband to move to Canada. We were in a long distance relationship since 2012, got married in 2015. I lived in Alberta and the economy was in downturn since 2014 . I got laid off from my job last year so it was quite a setback to start the petition. I tried to look for a job so i can continue my petition  but unfortunately, tough times made it hard  to secure one... :( I used to come down every  3  to 6 months. so last October, I came to visit for a month, and it was just super tough to think to still live apart after 5 years,  so i just gave up, cancelled my return tickets  and we were advised to do AOS.. Funny thing is, Didn't know I couldn't leave the country while doing AOS, so my belongings are still up there and barely had anything here Haha. Winter clothes in sunny florida :)

wow! that's crazy! ( at least you can travel now with advance parole. I received my card with a typo made by USCIS ))) and service requests didn't help at all so I thought I'd just wait for the green card, hopefully it won't take too long (

What was the typo? I wouldn't ignore it. Down the road it might affect something

I received SSN a few year ago when came here for work, so I didn't need to apply for it.

The typo was in my date of birth, they put the wrong month. I really hope to receive a green card not later than in March, and knowing how quick USCIS is, I think they won't issues the new EAD fast enough. So, I'll just wait. Most likely, I can get a job even with a typo.

I see. :)

I think you should get it fixed. I wouldn't mess up information as crucial as date of birth. It could be just a typo, maybe your entire record in their system has  your date of birth wrong as well. Just my two cents. :) I'd be in touch with them until they fix it.

In a perfect world, they'd have fixed the typo after the first service request and I have asked them twice. As for the green card, they have the correct date in the receipt, so I don't worry about it + of course at the interview I'll check with them )

Do you think you'll get a green card within a year frame? I've heard cases like ours may take longer time (

nobody knows really.  I wonder myself if adjusting from certain type would matter. I try so hard not to think about it anymore. Now that I have EAD, should not be as bad.

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year. I registered to this site to know more about the filing of AOS. My husband and I are filing for it this January however I am stuck with the I-485 supplement A am I supposed to submit it?

I entered through Tourist visa. I’ve been Visiting him here when we started dating but last Nov 17,2017 we just decided to get married then will go through this process. I am quite surprised with all the paperworks I need to do we hardly know about this process but somehow we seeked help but didnt hired an atty.

We are targeting to successfully file our papers without problems because I need to go back to the Philippines in time for our big wedding on Jan 2019 we are almost done with the preparations prior my trip here so Im just worried I wont make it on time.

Hope someone will share their experience with me. Goodluck to everyone filing or already filed theirs papers. God bless you all!
