I received my EAD/AP approval notice this weekend!!! According to USPS the card is going to arrive on Friday, December 22!! What a great Christmas present :) I'm so happy. My PD is October 30 and got it approved in only 42 days after expediting it with a job offer and getting my congresswoman involved as well. The expedite process was super confusing and stressful but in the end it worked and it was worth it! I encourage everyone to do the same if you have a job offer or other expedite reason and don't stop calling USCIS and your congressional representatives !!! It will work out!! Happy to offer more insight on my expedite as well, this forum has been such a huge help for me, so I would love to help with my experience as well. Good luck to everyone still waiting on their approvals (or apparently case trackers to work!!) I know the tracking system is a total mess and mine never updated, but I still got the approval, so don't worry about the case tracker. My congresswoman actually told me that the online status is useless so I should not worry about it at all, and neither should you! You'll get yours soon too!!

Congrats 🎉

Quick Question How Did You Received Your Approval For EAD/AP Since The Case Tracker Isn’t Updating ??

Via Text Message Or Mail?

Congratulations! That's amazing!
How do you expedite a case with a job offer, I saw that a lot of people are doing it but when I checked on the USCIS website for making inquiries I saw the one option if the case is outside normal processing time. And also did you email your congressional representatives or call them? I am sorry for all the questions but I also might do it because I'm desperate to start working again....
Congrats to everyone with approvals so far!!

Congrats to everyone with approvals so far!!

Thank you! Yes, so what I did is

1. called USCIS and resquested an expedite processing of ny EAD based on two of the USCIS expedite criteria. they are listed here https://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria . I chose „severe personal financial loss and national interest situation“ because I will work for a company where I argue there is a clear government inteeest to have me approved. The agent then gives you a tracking number for your request that you should note down and also give to your congressman/woman.

2. went to my local congresswoman with all my document including my job offer letter that states start date, requirement to have EAD card and salary, as well as other supporting documents such as a cover letter explaining my situation, a couple articles about the firm I have an offer from and my receipt notice. My congresswoman then faxed everything to USCIS.

So you just just call them and create the expedite request - you can do that as soon as you have your biometrics done - and there’s is no need to wait for 75 days, if you have a job offer that clearly states a start date.

Best of luck to you

Interesting. You can expedite anytime after you send in AOS (and I guess after done Biometrics??). I have jobs lined up - Deal Memo's from my Artist Visa (that got approved but I didn't use because of marriage). I didn't think I could expedite before 75 days and canceled those jobs.

Mh...Did you call USCIS with a SR and the Job offer?  Thank you and congrats!

Edit: Just saw your post above! Thank you!! Are Taxes a national interest situation haha?!

Haha I actually did make the tax argument :) and said that my job is a very rare opportunity in my field, very high salary etc so I will start paying lots of taxes right away vs if they don’t expedite I will lose the job and it will take months to find sth remotely comparable. So try it!! you have nothing to lose

First level support follows a script. If you talk to the Tier 2 (Officers) they are the ones who can provide you a little bit more information but again, it will be limited....again note that USCIS processing times are very confusing for the most part but their website says that they are processing cases as of July, so even though you open tickets or talk to level 2 majority of them will stick with what is showing on this page and tell you to wait.

That is unfortunate, but the reality.

Thanks for this. It’s frustrating that there is so little transparency as to what’s going on... it’s probably sitting on someone’s desk as we speak.

I can track it on the USPS website after signing up for informed delivery. You can see all packages and mail that is going to arrive to your mailing address over the next fe days. One of the deliveries scheduled for me on Dec 22 is from the USCIS Production Facility in Lee's Summit, so I assume that's the card.

how do you look for mail scheduled in the next few days? I can only do that for packages and not for mail. For mail I can only see today at max

Normally if it is your EAD/AP Card, it will come via priority mail and once USCIS sends it, it will show in the Informed Delivery under packages.....
