Hello, I just wanted to share the status of my case:

I am a DACA beneficiary and recently got married to my boyfriend of 7 years. I overstayed my visa when my parents brought me to the US when I was 5. After staying here for nearly 20 years, I am finally adjusting my status.

My timeline:

10/26 - Lawyer sent my application

10/31 - Priority Date

11/7 - Received my paper NOA for my application

11/20 - Received biometric letter in the mail for 11/27

11/27 - Fingerprints done.

Fingerprint experience at Jamaica, NY service center: I was in and out in about 15 minutes. They took fingerprints on four of my fingers all at once instead of each individual finger (did not take fingerprint of my thumb). I hope this was done correctly cause I would hate for it to delay my application. Other than that, everyone there was very friendly.

By the way, I also cannot check my case status online yet...

Do they go by numbers meaning if your case # is 2 and if 1 approved then you are next?

They got it approved in 36 days.

The type of entry visa does determine the amount of time to approval.would you know the type of visa did they had?

They took my 4 fingers all at one but after we did thumbs and each individual finger. Maybe they couldnt read my fingers all together and did individual, idk. thats how it was for me.

and what happens when it expires?

You can apply for an extension when it close to the expiration, but at that point most of the people will have their Green cards already and won't need it.

Hello!

We are waiting for the update with the reception of the RFIE response. 7 days so far...

Do you guys know if this will also put on hold the EAD??

In theory yes, a RFIE on the i485 will put a hold on your EAD since the I765 is linked to the main application. What I read is that once they receive your response the clock restarts to day 1. But in real life its hard to say, some people had received RFIE and still had no delays on their EAD/AP. So, who knows?

Ohh that sucks! :(

We called USCIS and they told us can take up to 60 day to acknowledge our RFIE response.
