Doesn't the Holidays slow down the process because offices are closed and many staff members are on vacation?

Is it possible to get a NOA for Interview before EAD?

Yes and no. They do not work Thanksgiving, Christmas Day or New years day. Some people might take vacation between the hollidays, but that would affect their holliday pay, so not everyone is willing to pass on some holliday cash. But if they decide to it is their right to take vacations/sick leave, etc, just as they would any other time of the year.

yes it is possible to receive the interview notice before EAD, depends of how quick your field office is working.

Can you check your receipt numbers now? It is already a month right.. Mine are still not working unfortunately

Nope! Still can't check mines. Did fingerprint yesterday. I've seen people say theirs didn't start working till after the fingerprint. So I'm going to give it a couple more days and call back.

How do I tell which field office is the application at? Isn’t it at NBC now?

Cases are usually sent to the field office closest to you. You can get an idea about how the biometrics & interview will go from the local offices reviews here: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?stats=cis Good luck!

What decides how long the EAD is valid for and for what reasons?

If you applied with your AOS it should be good for one year!

Do they go by numbers meaning if your case # is 2 and if 1 approved then you are next?

They got it approved in 36 days.
