Is it possible to get an Interview NOA before EAD?

Also, since my Biometrics were done on 11/6. How come the receipt # online still says Fingerprint fee received? That should be updated right?

1. Sometimes that happens in which case you'd get your green card first and your EAD application would be closed.

2. Status updates online are not really reliable so it might not change until there's something else  like a RFE or ready to be scheduled for interview. Don't worry about that at all. You're moving along. :)

When did you file and when did you get your biometrics letter?

05/24/2017 Entered the US on a J1 visa

10/31/2017 Priority Date

11/14/2017 Received hard copies of all 4 NOAs

12/15/2017 Interview notice - interview is scheduled for January 19th! Holy #$%^ that's less than 3 months from PD!

01/02/2018 EAD + AP approved

01/16/2018 Combo card delivered

01/19/2018 Interview - recommended for approval

01/22/2018 New card is being produced

Did you get biometrics appointment yet? When was your case received?

Not yet. As mentioned the case was marked received Oct 30th, got my texts Nov 2, then got my I797's Nov 6th. It depends on your local office. From what I've read, most people get their bio appointment within 30 days of getting their notices, sometimes it's longer. It depends on when the office has free appointment time/how busy they are. I'll probably call if it's more than a month.

Hello, we are still in the process of adding my new spouse to my checking account. It has been over a month and we are still at nowhere. So instead of pulling our hair off, we decided to open a new one.

Anyone knows any checking account that are for a joint account between a US citizen and a non-US citizen, AND allows us to open the account online so that we do not have to make a trip? We both have SSN already.

We tried to Capital One and Ally. But they require both to be US citizens.

Try Discover. They only need primary acct holder to be PR or citizen.
