Situation :

1.Previous F1 Visa 

2.have existing SSN due to work permit after school 

3. Have existing Drivers License 

 

*10/29/2017 : Mailed packet via FedEx with signature required 

 

*10/31/2017: packet arrived and receive and signed by the receiver 

 

*11/07:2017:NOA at 9pm California time text message receive “Case was received” 

*although payment have not taken out in our account. (Checked have not cashed in yet or taken out and it won’t show your Case receipt  number in the website even you receive notification that Case files been received 

 

*11/08/ 2017 (money cashed out (payment used cheque not money order) 

 

* 11/9/2017 cheque cleared and now able to check in the website using receipt number (only shows of the money is been cashed out) 

 

 

hope others will log in the  timeline difference so others can see the progress

 We got an email and text notification last night: Request for Initial Evidence 

Need to wait for the hard copy to know...

Im glad Im not the only one. Got my texts Nov 2, then got my I797's Nov 6th and the online USCIS checker is still giving me "My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again." It seems like it can sometimes take them weeks to update in the online system (some Ive read until after your biometrics letter). So Im trying to be patient.

It took me a few days after electronic notification. I  didn't check for a couple of days, then I saw it when i wated

Oct 27, 2017  - Mail AOS packet (I-485, AP, EAD)
Oct 30, 2017 - Package arrived in Chicago
Nov 8, 2017 - Electronic NOA
Nov 8, 2017 - Check cashed

Mine started showing up about 24 hours after I got the emails and texts. No letters yet.

so i got a denial because i submitted on outdated forms (i485). however this form states it expires 12/31/2018 on the top right hand corner. is there a more recent form? 

 

Also they sent back all my other forms as well. so my entire process is on hold.

I don't think you got denied. You just have to resubmit the application on the new form. That happened to me too. I just resubmitted and now everything is going smoothly

That form that you use has an edited version so even though the date is correct at the top there's an edited version

@HisForeverWife thank you i found it. I'm so annoyed  anyway..... on the new form- for legal name in part 1 did u put your married name as your last name or you used your maiden name?

@HisForeverWife you removed the incorrect form when u resubmitted? i received mine stapled for each form with the corresponding documents... did u remove the staples? how did u send it back?

number 16 on the i485, travel document number...what are they referring to?
